Yes, it is! Warhawk is still in my top 3 of online games this gen, on ANY CONSOLE. It is easily the most addictive of any that I played... and the upgrades they've made to this game are incredibe! Flying mechs and strategic base building!!!! This game just shot to the top of my most wanted for 2012!
YES!!!! It's about time!!! I've been waiting for a follow up forever... and it seems like they have some truly interesting ideas to mix up the formula a little bit.
I was so happy with the multi-player only aspect of the first game... I wonder will I even bother with single player.
Lol, everyone is guessing the same thing I was thinking. I'm pretty sure it's going to be Starhawk... Pretty bad timing with PSN being down though.
Still, I can't wait! Warhawk was my favorite online game for about a year!!!
This is GREAT news! Because there was no way I was going to be able to pick this up with both Deus Ex and Skyrim coming out around the same time!!!
In the IGN 'Beyond' podcast last week, it was confirmed that the demo is in God mode... so Cole couldn't die and had unlimited reserves for power.
They wanted journalists to be able to play through the section w/o getting frustrated. It'd be cool if after beating the game, we unlock a 'god mode'!
@ShaneKim,
No, the Beast was not a creature 'inside' of Cole at the end of inFamous 1. He was a foe. And inFamous 2 actually starts with Cole getting his ass kicked by the Beast in Empire City before running to New Marais.
Nope, this isn't THE Beast... He was shown at the end of inFamous. Still, awesome to see what the Boss fights will look like. Much more epic than the first even though I enjoyed those as well.
Yea, this is shaping up to look like the best action game of this gen! I really can't wait to get my hands on it.
No, R2 multiplayer was pretty great... the single player sucked though.
Yea, the map looks phenomenal! Multiplayer was the only part I enjoyed of R2 actually. R3 seems to be improving in virtually every area.... I have a feeling I'm going to like it even more than Resistance 1, which was an instant classic!
While there are some legitimately good games on both the iPad and Motorola Xoom... there's nothing that will compete with games like Uncharted or GOW for the NGP.
I love Samurai Vengeance, but it's really the only game to hold my interest just as long as a PSP game. Anyone that spends all that money on a tablet just to play games is stupid... but still, if you have a tablet, it's nice to be able to have games on them.
And in the case of the Motoro...
Shit!!! I'm more excited for this than Killzone 3 now, lol... Crazy! And they brought the weapon wheel back!!!!! Can't wait!
I don't even have any context to make sense of that scene... and it was still AWESOME!!! LOL.
That's kind of the point though... you're paying a little more b/c you're getting more entertainment from it than most games on the market. So those that pay the $15 p/mth actually play very much... to reach new level caps, unlock new loot/abilities, and see new story content.
MMO's are addictive by nature; so for those that enjoy them, the monthly fee is worth it to finance new content. In a time where gamers want more game for their dollar, MMO's actual...
I agree! ...Although the last two Ratchet & Clank games have nailed it too. But the Uncharted series has been the one to perfect the art of storytelling and blend it with cinematic gameplay to make the entire experience feel even more engaging. Naughty Dog is in a league of their own this gen.
YES! Uncharted 3, inFamous 2, & Deus Ex are my most anticipated for 2011. This game is looking insanely good already!!!
DOS has a hit on its hands. It is good to hear they plan to stay committed to the game world they've created. Those are some VERY frequent updates.
I'm in the beta. The game is fun as hell!!! The last MMO that I really liked this much was Guild Wars. And honestly, DCUO is even better so far (as it should be since GW came out 5 yrs ago).
The pace of the quests and action is a lot quicker. And it truly is an action MMO... not only do you level up powers, you can unlock combo moves and all sorts of extras. VERY addicting... Even if you're not into MMO's, but you like rpg's, you'll be hooked!
I believe the PS3 beta should be starting this week... It was supposed to start by Dec 1st if I remember correctly.
The dogfighting seems the same pace as the original. Plus, the two articles I've read so far confirmed that the online play is just as addictive as the original... that's all I need!
And I don't understand complaints on the graphics... the game looks beautiful already to me! Especially for a game that is a year away!!!
