I think GI and Nintendo Power are both bad outlets to use for reviews.
GI obviously doesn't care much for motion controls.
Nintendo Power is extremely forgiving in their reviews.
Crazy too cause back in the 90's gi and nintendo power were THE best magazine available.
Me personally, i like gametrailers the best. They've never steered me wrong.
This game coming out exclusively for the wii is a huge blow to sony. I personally don't understand all the hype for this series (i've only played it a little bit), i mainly watched my friend play it on the ps2, he absolutely loved the games. Great news for wii owners though, this thing is gonna sell like crazy in japan. I'm not sure if NA has a big audience for it. I wonder how the online system will work?
FF7 is by far better than FF8 but FF6 trumps them all.

FFXIII is a good game, i'm like 8 hours into it, yea it's linear so far but lots of FF games are linear until the story allows for it to be open world. I love the game so far.
I can't wait to see how the fanboys spin this into something worthwhile.

None of us know what the game was gonna be like if it was ps3 exclusive, it might have been the exact same game. I have the japanese import and the game is nothing short of incredible. There's nothing wrong with Final Fantasy being on multiple consoles, the series started on the nes and there were 6 main canon games in the series before it made the jump over to the play...

i didn't know that japan only has an audience of 4million for the ps3. That's crazy. It'll be interesting to see how many systems sold this month.

This shouldn't really come as a surprise, the crystal chronicles titles are usually fun games (i played the gcn cc and ring of fates) but they never really score extremely well with most outlets.
The game looks cool to me, it's a shame that gametrailers said it's only about 10 hours long and the combat is a bit iffy. I might pick it up after the new year.

not trying to attack you on anything, but i wanna point out that SOME western ps3 owners buy games, as you can see in the attached photo.
I need to point out that about 5 games are missing cause my buddy just bought a slim and i let him borrow some games.
i wonder what the numbers are for the rest of asia. I live in singapore and it's sold out everywhere here. I got my reserved copy today but there were literally no copies available to anyone who didn't reserve. Granted, singapore doesn't have a huge japanese population, more malaysian and chinese but still, theres 5 million people in singapore so it had to have sold a few thousand.
btw, the game is awesome.
yea i forgot about destructoid. I love that site, they come off as regular gamers that you would come across playing an online game or be standing in line next to at a midnight launch.
