that's pretty much how i feel too, and yes the new smb is so great, especially with 3-4 people playing. It's pure chaos.
Decent article, but it's too little too late. People have known this for a while now and Nintendo won't change their strategy this generation because it's paying off. I don't blame them either, if people buy something in masses why would you change it? I do wish that they would release new ip's though. I stopped getting annoyed by nintendo about a year ago, it's pointless to wait for new titles, etc. I've moved on but i'm still excited for the new zelda.

The majority of the levels all repeat themselves, the underground bunkers, the airport, the library, etc.

From the very first day bayonetta was announced i think it was safe to assume it would be similar to DMC. The same guy designed/created both. This was established like 18 months ago. My question is, why can't gow3 and bayonetta both be good games? Why does bayonetta have to be considered a joke of a game just because gow3 is coming out? It doesn't make any sense. brutal legend wasn't necessarily a "sleeper" of a game. It got tons of media attention and hype. That's probably why it was left out.
I couldn't care less for the other comparisons you made, but you couldn't be more wrong about Bayonetta.
Bayonetta is extremely story driven. Lots of cut scenes, flash backs, and journal entries scattered throughout levels that explain the history of the 2 witch clans that were rivals. Not to mention that the story is really interesting and is full of plot twists. There's no reason to dislike a game just because it falls in the same genre as gow. That's just childish and stupid...

There's a huge market for classic nes/snes era gaming. It's not on the consoles though, it's definitely the handhelds. That's why i love the DS so much, i can get my classic jrpg level grind fix. I hate how almost all jrpg's now have real time battle systems and whatnot. I just wanna stand still and trade blows in my rpg's. If i wanna run around and attack people i'll play bayonetta or god of war.

I really wanna get this game but i bought cooking mama 3 for my girlfriend and she keeps my DS at her house now. It wouldn't be that big of a deal but she doesn't live in the same country as me, lol. Maybe i'll buy one of those DS xl's.
I really like my psp go but now that i've had it for a few weeks i've come to the realization that i would have been much better off in just buying a regular psp.
I should've done more research before i bought a go because i didn't realize how limited go only owners are as far as games we're able to play. There's tons of games i'd be willing to spend money on but i can't cause they aren't on the psn store.
