seriously, the graphics and lack of a stable online community doesn't bother me at all. It's the lack of games worth buying. I don't care how well Boom Blox or De Blob scored on metacritic. I want to play a game with a great story and gameplay to match.
Did anyone else notice the fanboys in the gamer section comparing the wii to the snes?
the snes has the best library of games, ever. The wii has 5 games at the very most that are worth buying, and thats after 3 years.
I also find it hard to believe that these wii fanatics have been gaming since the nes. I've been gaming since the intellivision and i literally don't know anyone that gets excited over anything the wii has to offer.
Wii fanboys love to clai...
yea, capcom completely slipped my mind. I think EA will pull their support for "mature" games soon, considering their complaints and whatnot.
Also, I didn't mean mature as in M rated games, i hate the whole, "mature, hardcore, casual" subtitles that games get now.
What the wii needs is solid third person perspective games. They don't even have to use motion controls. Sidways wiimote or classic controller would be fine. No one wants to spend money ...
they had been working on this movie since 2005. I remember watching the first trailer back in 2006. Too bad the film got pulled. I'm sure torrents of it are up though.
how cool.
it still irks me when i think of how nintendo failed to release this game outside of japan.
valkyria chronicles for the ps3 had rave reviews but the sales weren't all that great. A sequel is coming out for the psp. The game is awesome btw.
Yakuza 3 (also received great reviews) is coming to the ps3 in march this year.
The same argument can be made for wii games. Wii gamers are buying duds because they're considered, "good for a wii game."
Scores aren't hyped. There's plenty of bad games on all 3 consoles but with the ps3/360 it costs a lot to develop a game. Developers are realizing that horrible games might put them out of business (free radical with haze and factor 5 with lair). The scores aren't hyped. The games might be (and usually are) but most games this gen feature extremely hig...
Does this make ubisoft the only 3rd party to produce mature games (on a regular basis) for the wii now?
I love how this is a news article about a studio director of a 3rd party company talking about pulling support for mature titles on the wii because they don't sell well and yet tunaks still manages to spin it in nintendos favor.
For the love of god, read the freaking article.
I never played Overkill but 'Madworld' and 'The Conduit' are bad games, plain and simple.
The wii is a weird system when it comes to 3rd parties making games they think people want.
it depends really, snes emulation and other 8bit/16bit systems run fine but the 64 emulators are riddled with problems. PSX emulators work good, but i'd rather play the games on my 42" plasma instead of on my laptop.
Also, if you have twilight princess you can do the homebrew channel hack and install tons of emulators. I tried it out but i still prefer buying games off the vc, they're cheap and i don't like having to keep reinstalling the homebrew channel, etc.

No PD isn't available and it probably won't ever be for the wii, which is a shame. There was a story on here a few days ago about how PD is rumored to come to the XBLA. So if you have a 360 you might be able to play it eventually.
The thing with the wii fanatics here is that to them, nintendo can do no wrong. It's pointless trying to talk to most of them because they just shoot down anything you say. The wii by itself isn't a bad system. The wii when looked at as a whole is one of the worst systems ever made. The controls are pretty much a failure. The core titles don't even revolutionize motion controls at all (zelda:tp, mario galazy, MP3, NSMB:Wii, mario kart) and it's funny because those are some of the best games t...
what does that have to do with anything?
yea it didn't sell well, but it gets the job done. I bought one and I like it quite a bit. It is annoying not having the full catalog of psp games but the selection out right now on the psn is good.
As long as the new Lunar collection comes to the psn i'll be happy.
resistance retribution is an awesome game.
i still need to get LBP psp.
Final Fantasy VI is HANDS DOWN the best FF game to date and it's easily one of the greatest games of all time. Great list IGN.
you realize you're getting upset over an article from vgARABIA....
You think that this site has an audience outside of n4g?
I highly doubt it.
Crysis is the best looking game out, there's no denying that. Does it really matter though?
^^
i got a laugh from that too, it is true though, at least for me. I bought loads of ps3 games this year and i bought quite a few ds titles as well.
2009 was an absolute monster year for the ps3. It seriously felt like i was buying a game every 2 weeks. I've had my ps3 for a little over a year and I have 45 disc based games for it.
I find it funny when reviewers complain or call out comparisons to other games like it's a bad thing. Darksiders is looking to be an excellent game and i'm getting really excited to play it. I'll definitely be buying it next week. Mixing in elements of GOW & Zelda sounds like a damn good time.
Also, why is it so wrong to take inspiration from other games? Zelda and GOW are at the top of their respective genres. I'd much rather have a developer use a gameplay style that is tri...
this is good, saves time and money for sega.
This is coming out the same time as gow3 and ff13, hopefully it sells decent enough to make sega some money. I hear the game is really fun, ill probably buy it.
