Nintendo is selling consoles like crazy, why would they want to disrupt that? Of course all three (sony, MS, nintendo) are planning their new console, I don't think any of them will release it before 2013.

i think it's safe to say that the people who actually played madworld see it for what it is and the people who haven't played it are the ones praising it and saying it should be brought to the ps3/360.
I realize there are exceptions but the general consensus is that madworld is a very mediocre game.
madworld is not an amazing game, not even close. It's not a horrible game but it's so mindless and boring that a purchase is a waste of money, at least to me it is and i rarely care if i blow $50 on a game that i don't quite enjoy.

People receive this false sense of entitlement when they stick with one console and especially if the console is leading the sales race. Being a fanboy of one console is idiotic because all your doing is forcing yourself to miss out on great games. Lots of the times too it's gamers trying to convince themselves that the other consoles are garbage because they can't afford them all.

It's a shame that arkham asylum and ratchet and clank future: a crack in time didn't get as much recognition as they should have. Those are probably my two favorite games that released this year. Also, dragon quest V on the ds, that game is incredible.

ehhh, It's not really all about FPS games, this whole core vs. casual debate. It started when the wii shocked everyone with it's sales. I think there's a difference though between core nintendo fans and nintendo fanboys (i'm not saying you're a fanboy). The core fans always buy/support nintendo consoles but can point out when something is wrong or if they aren't happy with something. The fanboys are like gate keepers in the sense that to them nintendo can do no wrong and anyone who speaks against nintendo is either new to gaming or just an HD fanboy.

yea, the internet factor is a given. I wonder what the numbers are for users on xbox live and psn. That right there will show you how much of a chance onlive has.
i really don't see onlive taking off. PC gamers have their pc to play games and console owners have their consoles. Most big name studios aren't going to develop AAA exclusives unless they get a huge paycheck or if onlive starts getting a huge userbase, which i just don't see happening. The next gen is not almost upon us. Sony just hit their stride last year with the ps3. The 360 is still selling well and they have Natal coming out and Nintendo is still selling the wii like crazy. I'm sure all 3 companies are working on what their next system will be but I don't see them being released any time soon. The economy is in shambles and most people don't want to buy 3 new systems.
