That's funny because these editorials are the only reason I have a slight interest in their site. I rarely (and i stress rarely) read or follow their reviews. I mainly use the site to listen to their podcasts and I get those through Itunes.
I do agree with you on cable news though, I can't be bothered with watching fox news and especially msnbc. CNN used to be the best source and even that is getting stale and biased.
Come on, lets be honest here. NSMB:Wii is a good and fun game but it's basically just a revamped version of the DS game. There's nothing horribly wrong with that but nintendo could have done alot more with it. Specifically online play and better graphics. I'm not a graphics whore by any means but it goes back to my first point and something most outlets claim, it's a revamped version of a DS game.

They aren't posting these editorials for quick hits. If you listen to their podcasts (nintendo voice chat, gamer scoop) you'll see that some of the staff are genuinely getting tired of the wii and what it has to offer. I think it speaks loudly too that Matt C has shown some disdain in how nintendo handles the wii. I don't think the visuals are bad in NSMB:Wii but they definitely could have done much more with the game.
The main reason it annoys me is because, once again we have a game for the wii that doesn't push the systems hardware. I want to see a game that pushes the wii to it's limits. Mario Galaxy is the only game so far imo, and I think nintendo can do better seeing that the game is 2 years old now. I really hope zelda wii is the game that blows me away. Modern Warfare 2 is so incredibly over rated. Plus, anyone who has been gaming longer than 1 generation knew that NSMB:Wii would sell like crazy. Look at some of the 1st party titles from nintendo. They are selling like they just launched, it's crazy.

ps3 is getting gran turismo 5, heavy rain, god of war 3, white knight chronicles.

The ps3 version runs fine. Yes there are lots of load times for certain things, which IS annoying, but as far as actual gameplay (fighting, jumping, movement) it runs fine.

I'd give that game a high 8. Who cares if it copies zelda and gow. It's fun as hell and it plays great. Zelda is my favorite series and GOW is fun to play so a game that mixes both and has a good story is anything but bad. at the beginning of the demo it says you can only save once you beat it and that you'll unlock something in the retail game.
I just beat it about 2 mins ago and there's a screen at the end that says,
"Be sure to save your game, trust me on this one..." -Nall

The debate with the 360 streaming HD was with it being able to stream in full 1080p with lossless audio. HD tv shows are not up to those standards.
As for reggie saying consumers voted, that's silly to me because they didn't have a choice. I could understand if there was a wii HD and a non HD model on the market but there isn't. lunar is awesome and like the guy above me said, it's a shame working designs went under. They were easily one of the best publishers in the 90's and were a big player in paving the way for jrpgs in the states.
can someone please explain why it took sega over a decade to realize that 3d sonic games do not work and that this is what the fans have wanted all this time.
