well yea, maybe saying "no one" was a bit much. Any game from a major publisher gets hyped to an extent but after the demo came out everyone knew the game was just a rushed hack 'n slash genre game.
funny thing about WKC is that the only people hyping it were the ps3 fanboys on n4g, these are also the same people who most likely had no interest in buying the game. The people who actually wanted to play the game weren't boasting that it was a triple aaa exclusive, we were just excited to finally play the game and to add another jrpg to our collection.

This guy is saying what fans of the game have been saying the past week. The major outlets rushed through the game and judged it unfairly or compared it to other games that have nothing to do with WKC. It didn't help either that the game was released right after ME2, that shouldn't play a role but sadly it does in most cases when it comes to reviewers.

the game itself isn't hard to figure out. The battle system is easy enough and i've played enough rpg's to know my way around the menus. It's the story that I didn't understand. From what I could tell though it looks to be absolutely fantastic.
I actually prefer phantom hourglass over spirit tracks. Spirit Tracks is actually the first zelda that I lost interest in while playing. I'll finish it eventually though.
I don't think Zelda needs to change much. I just want Hyrule to feel more "alive." As much as I love Twilight Princess the castle town was really weak.

Sucks to be him, I don't care when pirates get caught, especially when it comes to videogame piracy. Having to pay 1.3 million dollars though? That seems a bit extreme, how is he ever going to pay that back? I'd rather serve a year or 2 in jail than have that debt hanging over me for my entire life.

I wasn't trying to take a jab at microsoft. What they did was smart. It sucks for people who don't own a 360 but it was a smart move to try to get market share in japan.
I just find it to be nonsense when square says otherwise. I could be completely wrong with my train of thought but it seems so obvious that they were just given a check to make exclusive rpgs for the 360.

I don't regret buying it. It's a quality handheld, but it is expensive as can be. Only thing I want changed is for more old releases to come to the psn, I reaaallllyyy want the star ocean remake.
Also, some psn released games are messed up. Silent Hill 0rigins had problems with the cutscenes (they were all cut short) and it took a month or two for konami to fix it, and they weren't even aware of the problem, only reason it got fixed was because people were emailing their custom...

It's a shame Folklore was a victim of ps3's horrible launch. It's an excellent game, one of the best ps3 exclusives imo. I'm glad I picked it up cause it's hard to find it stores now.
