I don't care what the scores are.
I'm having more fun with WKC than I have had with any other rpg this gen.
When I buy jrpgs I want stereotypical turn based grind fest games. I liked it back on the NES and I still like that gameplay style today.
I can understand why some people may not like WKC but it doesn't deserve scores this low.
No offense (really) but you sound delusional.
I think you're looking into things a bit too far.
Comparing Dragon's Lair to Heavy Rain makes zero sense. Plus, Dragon's Lair came out in 1983 (27 years ago) and it wasn't thrown under the bus. Dragon's Lair was HUGE back when it came out (and still sees regular releases), there was always a line at Showbiz Pizza (the original Chuck E. Cheese) to play it, I was 5 and I remember playing it and not having the slightest clue...
i love the disagrees.
dana white took an organization that was so deep in red and was branded "human c*ck fighting" and turned it into one of the most watched sports on television. There have been so many other organizations that have tried to mimic what the ufc has done and almost all have failed. Also, the fact that there are/has been discussions on espn about UFC rivaling boxing is absolutely huge and extremely impressive for a sport that has been in the public eye...
Some old games don't hold up, but the games this guy listed are still great.
I hate it when people play old games and feel the need to make blanket statements that such and such is laughable when played now. Times were different back then. Most of the SNES/Genesis/n64 games hold up extremely well to todays standards. IMO, If classic gaming isn't fun to you then you've lost the true essence of what playing videogames is all about.
On a side note, how relevant will...
One thing i don't understand is that whenever a crap game comes out for the wii and doesn't sell, the wii fanbase here usually says it's a good thing because it shows developers that wii owners aren't sheep and want quality made titles.
BUT
When people say that 3rd party titles don't sell on the wii, many of the same people claim that 3rd party titles do sell, similar to that of a "slow burn."
What i'm trying to get at is, does it really ...
It's best just to accept that some people are happy with the wii and the games that are available for it & there's nothing wrong with that.
Nothing good comes from speaking ill towards the wii around these parts. Trust me......I know from experience, ha.
Calling HD fans movie gamers based on Heavy Rain is kinda silly. How many games are out that are similar to HR?
You should've used a different example.
BTW, i do agree about heavy rain, the game looks completely stupid to me. I watched some gameplay footage and all I saw was a mannish looking woman get naked and a guy peeing and shaving.
I think i'll pass.
My favorite is double dash. Least favorite is mario kart wii.
You're right though, mario kart on the ds is freaking awesome. I wish nintendo would make a second.
ps2
ps3/psx
wii/gamecube
sega saturn
xbox
psp go
ds lite
Being a fanboy to one console is the dumbest thing you can do as a gamer. All you're doing is depriving yourself of quality games.
From what I could gather, the reviewer doesn't like the flashlight mechanics and the gameplay feels dated.
My import copy should be arriving sometime this week. I'll fire it up and post a review. I know some people are interested because finding a good english review for this game is about as easy as pulling teeth.
For me, I couldn't care less if the gameplay feels dated. It's survival horror. I don't play these games expecting to be able to walk around with mach...
Played this game for about 5 hours last night. Absolutely loving it so far. I really don't understand the reviews this time around...
Graphics are great, music is great, story seems great so far, voice acting is good. The battle system is a bit slow (at first) but like with any other jrpg, there's an ATB, except this game is played out in real time. That being said though, once I realized that the game plays in a turn based fashion but in real time, the system clicked for me and ...
dana white is a smart business man but his incessant trash talk of competition gets really annoying.
cool!
i'd rent first to see if you can afford the time that the game requires.
It took me 8 hours to beat level 1-1, and that wasn't abnormally long. Average from people I talked to and saw on forums was anywhere from 6-12 hours. The game is a beast! ha.
FFXIII is a really good game. I bought the import when it was first released. I put about 15 hours into it before stopping. Only reason I stopped was because I don't know any japanese and the story seemed THAT good that I didn't wanna spoil anything else for myself. I'm really looking forward to the NA release.
lol @ murderdolls
that's funny.
People take review scores too seriously nowadays.
I wonder why AVP scored so low?
I would definitely hack my psp go if I had the chance. I didn't do as much research as I should have before I bought it and knowing what I know now, I would've went with a psp-3000.
There are so many games missing from the psn. It's so stupid. I'm willing to buy tons of games but they aren't available to me. I'll be dam*ed if i'm gonna buy a psp-3000 cause the go cost me $250.
I have all these games except for eye of judgement.
Folklore is probably the most under appreciated game on the ps3.
"From videos i have seen, must be one of the most generic and dull games of all time"
Your point is moot. Play the game first before you pass judgement.
____
I bought it today but I haven't had the chance to sit down and play it yet. I'm looking forward to going on some quests with people though.
was that really necessary?
