I know many people who owned a ps2 went and got a 360 but how many of these people expected to play star ocean on it?
Microsoft cut square enix a check to get exclusive rpg's so that the system would sell better in japan. There's no other reason for it, why would square enix make a game for the 360 when the fanbase was from the ps2.

If my copy got messed up i'd dig a hole in the backyard and have a ceremony for it. I've probably put over 400 hours into that game. Can't wait for Skate3.
I have a disagree because some people refuse to accept the fact that a system can have good games and an excellent online system (the 360) but also have the MOST faulty hardware in the history of gaming.
I don't think the 360 is a horrible system, there are plenty of games i'd like to play that aren't available on other systems, but it goes back to the point of my above post. I'm not going to buy something that I know will break. People use the argument of the extended warranty...
I wouldn't consider it a flop until we see the sales figures. Besides, I bought the game and I'm absolutely loving it. I couldn't care less what reviewers say is and isn't good. All I can hope is that WKC sells enough in NA to warrant the sequel being released here. WKC has an audience, is it a big one? I'm not sure, the online community has been great so far though.
Besides, WKC is a jrpg game. It seems like nowadays reviewers are on a witch hunt when it comes to the jrpg genre....
I bought MW2 because a few of my friends had it, after suffering through the single player campaign and trying to stay awake through the camp grounds that is the online MP, I gave the game to my other friend who didn't own a copy. He enjoys it though.
I can leave my ps3 running for weeks at a time (i travelled around south east asia last summer for 3 weeks and I forgot the ps3 was on pause...whoops) and my wii on for a month at a time(grandma died, drove across 3 states in the middle of the night to see the family, forgot it was on pause). Also, my 15 year old sega saturn runs flawlessly.....FLAWLESSLY.
Why then, does an xbox 360 die from normal use.

You should WKC a go. The reviews, imo, have been extremely unfair. I've put about 11 hours into the game over the past 3 days, I absolutely love the game. I can understand people not enjoying the battle system but it doesn't mean it's a bad game.

ha, i was playing 'Loaded' on my sega saturn this past weekend.
the game hasn't aged too well, still just as violent as ever though.
I have WKC and FFXIII.
Both are great games but i'm interested to see what scores FFXIII gets. In my opinion, WKC should be no less than a 4/5. It's an extremely solid game with an infinite amount of replay value.
FFXIII is an awesome game but it lacks so many things that other jrpgs have. The game is linear as can be and there are literally no towns. I wasn't too bothered by that but I think it'll be interesting to see what scores FFXIII receives when WKC has be...

The last podcast was all about the n64 (episode 64) and it was really good. Greg Miller's story on Superman64 was hilarious.
The podcast is so much better now that Craig has taken over. It actually comes out on a regular basis and they talk about things that are interesting. Just because they had a podcast where they voiced complaints about the wii doesn't mean they hate ...
That's a really good review.
Not because of the score but because the author actually explains what the game is about and it's obvious he knows how to play the game and doesn't get upset that it isn't something that it's not(wrpg). It's a shame other sites were in such a rush to release reviews that they skimmed over the online portion. I think it was IGN who called the town building aspect a "mini game."

I agree completely. I'm worried that these reviews for WKC are going to seriously hurt the games sales. It annoys me too because on IGN's gamescoop podcast and PS3 podcast they don't even elaborate on what they didn't like about the game, someone brought it up and they just go, "ehhhh."
I don't care what site you read, a 5.1 isn't mediocre. It's garbage. WKC is definitely not a garbage game. The game is extremely polished and loads of fun. I can understand completely ...
