HDMI does make a difference. A huge difference. If you want to watch high definition movies the way they were meant to be seen - and don't kid yourself so you can sleep at night - there is a huge difference, then you need HDMI.
The issue arises that if you want to see them on a 360 the way they were meant to be seen then you have to spend more on your system than a PS3 owner. End of argument.
This isn't about which console has the better stable of games right no...
yeah we have a lot of games for the 360...most of them are ass. And as soon as the next MS console appears, you have a big white brick when they drop support like the console was on fire... and it damn near is.
Everthing MS has done, they have done out of greed (example - paying for Gears of War DLC was a MS decision) or because MS was backed into a corner (example - backwards compatibilty, example - warranty extension)
It wouldn't put them in the lead for format wars. It isn't necessarily about having the most or even cheaper players on the market. You have to look at studio alliances and several key alliances depend upon the studio's belief in a certain format's security. Plus there are other undeniable factors:
The real smokescreen going on here is HDMI. HDMI is on all of the new 360s I have a thrice returned launch 360 and just reserved a HALO3 edition and it is on there. But at least I am honest enough to know it is worthless. Honestly, what good is it?
Will the 360 ever be able to run games in 1080p that aren't just upscales? No.
That leaves it's value for HD DVD which is like saying I bought a DVD player that also plays betamax tapes.
" In an interview with Japanese website ITmedia, Moore noted that, if the format war concluded with Blu-Ray as the clear winner, Microsoft could release an external Blu-Ray drive for its 360."

Even in the form that it was originally posted on PSU, there was nothing wrong with it. They (PSU) were very clear in stating it was a rumor and not news. It was no different than the stories posted on Gamespot that are tagged as rumors.
It was idiot forum posters and jealous morons like the lot at CVG that put an incorrect spin on the story at PSU. I couldn't believe the people having a fit who, by reading their remarks, it was obvious they had only read the attacks on PSU an...
True but there are 8 additional weapons and 2 new MP modes that never made it to the 360. Owning the 360 version I have looked at other levels not in the PS3 demo and the graphical differences between the two versions is very noticeable.
True except this isn't a Microsoft game. The 360 and PC versions are being published by Irrational games - which is changing their name and it isn't Microsoft.
Plenty of titles that have a premiere on the 360 are announced as other platforms before they launch.
If this were from Microsoft Games Studios there might be some validity in your comment. But it isn't and you don't. PS3 version announced Sunday? No. Sometime before the end of the year? Yes.
They have built this up to be some huge announcement. Sorry, but downloadable plasmids hardly rates the hype they have given it. Telling me that it is, in Spike TVs words, "Something you won't want to miss" is not backed up by downloadable plasmids. Why don't they just say it is a downloadable theme because that is the difference it makes.
If they want me to tune in, then we need an announcement worth my building my Sunday night around in order to be in front of the T...
Why is it all the industry people disagree with you? GTA would have been bigger for MS. Instead, they have to flaunt GTA and their DLC against GTA on the PS3, Killzone 2, LA Noir, the unnamed PS3 exclusive, and MGS4.
I'll go with the industry on this one and say the delay hurts both but it hurts MS more.
I don't think Rockstar would build the exclusive content THEN get the money from MS when it is finished. No game developer in their right mind works like that.
Most games enter Beta about 6 months out. That puts this game easily in Alpha state. And for an Alpha it's pretty damn mean looking. Killzone 2 is going to be a juggernaut as we get close to release.
That is an ignorant comment. The game is not doomed to failure. That said, regardless of what the article's author thinks, the game is unproven. Free Radical may have some talented members, but HAZE is unproven. Period. End of discussion. The author is confusing the facts.
Also, how many people that hold Goldeneye up with the invention of women and beer have actually played it? I own a N64 and have Goldeneye and if you play it right now it is crap. In it's day it was untouched....
PS3 version. My 360 keeps dying and I want to play the game, not read the back of the disc case. Also that crap about load times is a load of horse dump. Expect that when a game is a cheap port. That isn't the case this time.
I want the ability to stream off the HDD. If you don't think that wil happen with the PS3 version you might be surprised. I don't want to discover later that Rockstar trimmed 360 visuals, dropped textures or used lower res ones in order to fit everything o...
The real problem with this article is evident if you go back and read the PSU article. Don't read the n4g.com header, but read the actual article. The article at PSU is titled "Rumor control. Sony to buy Rockstar?"
At no point in the article do they say or allude to the fact this is hardcore evidence. At no point do they say or even try to utilize euphemisms to plant a seed that will later convince you it's true. They lay out the scene and say 'this was the general ta...
