Thanks for pointing that out Lumbo but you are wasting your breath. This guy haunts every PS3 thread he can find always looking for the negative angle. He is so threatened by Sony doing well he will say anything. His comments ar a joke. Facts are made of rubber for people like him. They are in for a rude awakening since the world is going down the Blueray road.
So CG, since you have played the final versions of all of these games and know which ones are better are you you suggesting we just take your word for it?
Someone apparently has never heard of 'tongue in cheek' before. The part about vehicles was a joke you humorless dummy.
I agree that Denis Doak is a bit of a moron and going against HALO3 like he has in the past is just pure stupidity but in this piece they were being facetious.
Meanwhile you need to locate the following items:
1 - Caps Lock on your keyboard
2 - The period (.) key on your keyboard
3 - A sense of humor.
True, but looks and plays does not equal content. Also as I noted above, if they opt not to do the cross platform with PS3 you may see the physics altered more.
The PS3 play is the console in question. I love interviewers that do not know a game's current development status. 360 isn't even being looked at in that regard yet. Rein was having a fit the other day over Microsoft's closed development system that makes even mod sharing with PCs a nightmare.
I alos noticed he ducked the physics card question. Epic is using the Aegia SDK and the PS3 hardware takes great advantage of the Aegia system of implementation.
Because I am a 360 fan AND a Playstaion 3 fan. I own both. Both systems have strengths and weaknesses.
But some people like to live in denial that the longer a system is around the better it gets. They like to pretend that the systems improvements do not happen at various rates during a console's life cycle. They want to stick their head in the dirt and hope that certain features on a machine do not mean a longer life span and increased viability.
"Why why why do they put out crappy ports! Waaaaa!"
Well they do. It is called greed. All you have to do is walk into a game store and look at the rack and you'll see plenty of ports that didn't get anything added that was really worthwhile.
The complexity of titles is going to increase. What can you do with DVD 9 now? Quite a bit within limits. What about by late spring next year? Disc capacity is like the Grim Reaper that won't cut a deal for more tim...
Some people think pooray is hip internet slang when it is really just a retard indicator for the gradeschoolers.
I live near Cary and have had some interaction with Epic for various reasons. They were pissed, genuinely unhappy that all the Gears material was not free. It really was the decision of MS to charge for items. Getting them free in a DL is fine except if you have a Core system.
Even if you have a Premium, that HDD must be gett...
But who will get those maps and will they be free? DL maps will only be for people with a HDD and even then may not be free. Fact: Epic wanted the GoW maps to be free and were extremely pissed MS charged for them.
I have repeatedly shaken my head at your ignorant fanboy comments bladesmart. Anything that casts the 360 in a bad light is automatically a lie. While I agree there is a lot of BS flying around, what Mark is saying is very founded in fact.
Reference Syko's comments, the fact that MS has chosen a closed developement system is something none of us can understand. Stupid. Just stupid.
Mark Rein isn't alone in his comments. Everyone in the industry expects DVD to be ...
Ever worked on a dev team? No? I thought not. Devs are not beings of infinite wisdom.
Sony's help is needed. The parallel programming on the PS3 is something new and not the forte of most devs. If they do not know something they should seek out the proper source info.
When Bungie was making HALO 2, they went to SC to watch former Marines demo squad tactics. This is no different. It is something new and unfamiliar and if they want to get it right they seek help....
Clinton, thanks for the reply. It is the habit of this board that opinions of personal wants become a statement for the community. It is the nature of the beast. I understand what you mean as far as a feature and it's appeal on a personal level. A person's opinion is their own and unless it is matter of hard facts and not a matter of personal taste, then I agree there is no right or wrong. There is only what a person prefers.
Back to my previous comment, I do believe the movies...
Well Syko that isn't correct as there have been a couple of updates that bricked systems. In one case it was a faulty Samsung driver that dudded quite a few systems in Asia.
You say what you prefer and that is fine but by doing so there is the implication that clan support is the more important of the two. In terms of community impact, it isn't. The movie studio will have a much broader appeal and impact.
You didn't strike a nerve. You were just wrong. Shared films that will flood the internet will have a bigger community impact than clan support. Clan matches can still be organized. But if the movie feature were removed you would just be SOL without a video capture card and proper cabling along with PC/TV proximity. Most gamers are not college students with their 360s hooked up to the PC's screen.
