Yes it did need posting. I conducted my own stress test. It's called 'My launch 360 died, my refurb was DOA, and 6 weeks later I don't have a replacement'. The stress test is to see how much stress MS can put me under.

Gears was a fantastic title. I enjoyed it immensely and the Co-op with Dom was a blast.
What it got wrong:
1 - Checkpoints often occured right before a lengthy scene of Marcus chattering on the radio. Unlike other citscenes these could not be skipped and would occur right before locations where you were sure to die. This forced you to listen to his radio discussion time and again.
2 - Despite what Cliffy B wanted, too often you had to babysit Dom.

The problem is previews on various sites and one other review didn't have an issue with the controls. We aren't talking about fanboys disagreeing with EGM, though they certainly do, we are discussing other MORE REPUTABLE online sites than EGM/1up.
EGM themselves know there is an issue or else they would not have responded. It isn't like the magazine isn't in trouble financially...they are.

There is the problem. PS3 fans hate HALO just like 360 fans hate Killzone 2. But gaming fans, well, gaming fans love both games.
Those with a modicum of maturity and intellect love gaming in all of it's incarnations and would rather experience the great fun of various titles than endure the experience of being a sheeple and a tool of some console manufacturer.
You are a dunce. I have a PS3 and love it. But my 360 is home to HALO and the 3rd iteration is set ot break a lot of new ground in the multiplayer deprtment. Single player? The graphics top anything Gears of War brough to the table.

The people trying to justify themeselves are the critics. Anytime that happens you know there is an issue. Usually critics do not respond to commentary about their review. The fact that they are, and are attempting to justify themselves means they are aware they screwed up and know full well their credibility is in the toilet.

It is precisely that - BS. The PS3 has hardware PPU capabilities for physics AND AI! Damn, how stupid can these people be? I love being a dual platform owner as each system has it's strengths but with hardware there for use, the PS3 could handle AI better. PS3Fanboy's site may have a problem, but it isn't what most think. Because it is owned and linked by joystiq, it winds up seeing more 360 and Wii fans than PS3 fans.
