The extra luv is only in the game development. I seriously expect nothing from IW at this point. It seems to me that were something finalized they would have announced. BOHICA on that one.
Considering the fact that no Collector's Edition is forthcoming for the PS3 version, the extra luv doesn't equate to a handjob from a 5 dollar hooker. They made the game look great. Okay, that is their frigging job. That isn't extra luv. No beta, no Collector's Edition = some BS post from a ...
People are that dumb. They ignore a huge fact. The Metal Gear Solid Movie currently in production is being made by Sony Pictures and the Executive Producer is Hideo Kojima.
Really, What day was that? There wasn't a day like that. That's what day. The other day as in launch day? Yeah, it happened then but a week after that numbers dropped off drastically.
On average HALO 3 is seeing over 1 million unique players...in a 24 hour period dumbass, not in a single moment. Jeesh learn how to read stats. Someone is crying alright and you can't see through the tears. There isn't a million people on during peak hours any more. Peak hours are Friday and Satur...
There are some well thought out ideas in that post Meus.
Regarding bias against a console it isn't really that for me. Rather it is bias against Microsoft. No I am not one of these people that run Linux (there is nothing wrong with that) and Firefox. But I am one of those persons that has been repeatedly screwed by MS over RROD issues and it has certainly left a bad taste in my mouth. I still own a 360 - the HALO edition - but I will always have an issue with MS. I also run Vis...
I haven't had any issues but will look forward to any new features. I have been using Remote Play quite a bit and it has been flawless for me. It is a real boon not to have to load music onto my PS3 yet still access if from any hotspot.
I never cared for custom soundtracks but I can see where a lot of people have been wanting this feature.
I am not surprised in the least. From the demo and movies, the levels it appears are extremely linear. Not just in layout but in game speed as you are driven along in a direction and pace determined by the devs. No freedom to explore, be tactical, etc. Go go go. You are actually punished for daring and trying to do other than exactly, precisely what they want.
By backtracking of other videos on IGN and looking you will notice some severely bad mipmapping in 360 videos. For example look at the one marked "Search and Destroy". Very noticeable at the 14 second mark as you approach the doorway and the brick textures begin to pop into view. And that is just one of several graphical issues.
Sorry you are not jiggy with it jiggy, but any damn fool can look at the lighting in the new videos and see the truth. Fanboy blinders won't ...
Don't bother going to the 360 section at IGN to see the latest preview so you can compare video because they are running the PS3 videos - they are clearly marked - for the 360 Preview.
Look what the Unreal 3 engine did. It turned everyone into a graphics whore (nothing wrong with that, I am one too). The big effect it had on other developers was they would always be compared to that engine. If they want to compete they now have to offer the visual wow.
Developers had to get off their ass, do some hard work and engineering magic and offer better visuals and better physics. Sadly AI hasn't caught up yet. Can you still make a good game without achieving the Unre...
The story is hardly over. If you read The Ghosts of Onyx then you know where the Forerunners went. There is every possiblity they remain alive. When the Ark was opened it is likely they were signaled and may have caused conditions that would generate their return. If so they would possibly be mightily pissed. You would then be left with the Elites and humans to deal with the Forerunners.
I agree in part but you don't see 1 million people online at the same time anymore. The Halo surge has came and went. Peak play times now only see gamer numbers in the 200,000 range.
EDIT: Go ahead little pricks and disagree but the facts will beat your ass every time. Those numbers are hard and there is nothing your crybaby ass can do about it.
Halo 3 is a great achievement and though I haven't gamed it in a week it is the basis for a long term title. That said there are some valid issues that I am sure Bungie will correct. These solutions may not be to everyone's liking as things like weapon balance are more subjective.
However there is little argument from fellow players that the sniper rifle hit detection is completely busted. People have been shot, standing still from 50 feet multiple times with no effect.

There are not going to be any other major announcements except about titles coming in 2009. MS shot their wad with HALO. Sony has had games in development for a while and it will start to show now. This comeback on their part is to be expected.
The 360 doesn't have the stable of exclusives coming down the pipe at the moment that the PS3 has. Sony is just getting ready to start to reveal their first big exclusives. MS had their day and now it is Sony's turn. You can say MS will...
I don't know if movie support will increase but I have been having a great time. One of the first things I did was connect the cable to my system selector so I could game on my HDTV. Despite all of the positive things I had read about the picture I was still surprised how good it was. The resolution is great.
As soon as I got it I downloaded the update and didn't notice any issues with the scanning for my wifi at all. The one thing I do regret is that the old remote plug no lo...
Activating it is well worth it. I have a 250GB drive installed in my PS3 and with my PSP slim I can stream video, photos, or music from anywhere in the house or over the internet from any WiFi hotspot anywhere in the world.
Seraphim, I understand what you are saying but Gamertags are a way to prevent the general jerks that love to make claims the way they do over at Gamerankings. People at that site need only register in order to damn a game. It has ruined what began as a great idea and invalidated the entire rating system except the section that utilizes reviews from print and web based publications. Besides Game Informer those are generally worthless.
