He knows that, he's saying that Dice isn't letting consoles hold PC back.
You're wrong, Frostbite 1.5 was used for BF:BC2.
Because in terms of PC graphics it's nothing special. I'm assuming Gypsygib was hoping games would look better than this on CryEngine3 PC, though in fairness to Crytek not all tech demos use the engine's whole power so it's not fair complaining that this is all we're getting out of PC. It's down to the developer.
No, it's a crush the castle reskin. Why does it deserve GOTY? Anyone could make it with ease.
Well that's the players fault, just because it can be a bad decision it doesn't mean it shouldn't be a decision at all.
Yep. I'd extend it to humans are too negative :P What you gonna do?
Let's hope it doesn't turn me off the game like the last 2 EA demos...
It's misleading because you purposely fixated on the sentence that he said the xbox is limiting them, even though that anything would limit them.
You could've wrote 'top range gaming computers holding bulletstorm back' but you didn't because you knew this title would generate hits and flame wars.
Don't pretend to act innocent and get technical with your explanations, whether it's TECHNICALLY misleading or not, it's obvious you ...
Flame-bait bullshit.
The interviewer was looking for something that could be twisted, the bulletstorm developer said he'd say he's held back even if he had 128gb of ram (etc.).
It looks like absolute crap. I'd like to believe most gamers have a better fashion sense than to wear that, maybe I'm wrong.
Andrew almost all PC games these days are on steam, Portal 2 is gonna be an early adopter of PS3 Steamworks as it is by valve. I doubt Sony are going to allow Valve to control a game service for the PS3 on non-Valve games too.
They said that the requirements aren't going to be as high, but maybe they meant not as high in comparison to the current PC market. The requirements for Crysis 1 were harder for most people to achieve in 2007 than the requirements of Crysis 2 are for most people today.
I reckon medium-high with no AA you'll be fine, doubt you'll be able to get much more than that though.
Of course you can and you know it, stop trying to boost your ego by boasting your computer specs. It's pathetic.
"Recommended specs for BFBC2 was a gtx260....it takes my overclocked gtx480 to get 60 frames maxed."
That's because the AA on BFBC2 is horribly optimised. As I run BFBC2 at constant 60fps with highest settings (except AA which is at 4xAA rather than the maximum 8xAA for the game). I tried 8xAA but it dropped to like 20fps and less sometimes. Also I'm only running an overclocked Radeon HD 5750 (oc'ed to about 5770 level).
@FatOldMan
Well it's 60 fps but the videos we've seen have been (mostly) from the Xbox 360 version which looks incredible to be honest.
The disagrees are probably because your whole post was unfunny and completely irrelevant.
Of course he's already researching the next gen. He is a graphics innovator and a game engine developer, any engine developer worth their salt is thinking about the future.
No, definitely not, Arkham asylum was barely a 100th of Panau's size.
And what information did you use to make that assumption then? Oh yeah, nothing. Stop being a twat, you know the PC version is going to be miles better and the Xbox and PS3 version will be about the same.
