I don't own a PS3 and think this game seems like crap.
Still no excuse. If people are so pathetic to bear grudges then that's just plain lame. Even if he does troll, doesn't mean people should have an instant bias against what he says. People on N4G need to be more mature.
You know a game is next gen when it doesn't use current-gen graphical effects such as real anti-aliasing.
Not slagging off the game, it's an amazing looking game. But by no means is it 'next gen'.
Just proved his point.
Come on guys, you should realise that PS3 is God's gift to the world, Jesus was nothing in comparison.
Not a good indication, the leak runs at medium settings at maximum. Running the leak you only know if you can run the game at medium settings, you may very well not be able to run the game at high.
You say 'Im debating as well, but leaning towards PC.'
Well you're a liar. You weren't debating at all, you made that very clear through the rest of your comment by talking about how much better the PC version is. You KNOW it's a lot better and wouldn't consider the console version, as you already basically said.
You're just a bit of a sneaky troll trying to boost your ego telling everyone the PC version is better and they can'...
Well people have played it and videos are on youtube, so no, it's real. Maybe they're just trying to keep it suppressed.
I'll just wait 3 days then download it for my PC and Xbox. Ooh and Shogun 2 demo too!
It's only a demo. It's a free download anyway so it's not like this affects much.
@the_only_lol_king
Really!? While metro may have better texturing/tessellation, the scope and magnificence of Crysis is still largely unmatched in my eyes. It's absolutely amazing.
@nycrekid
"And before the PC fans kill me, I put IMO and I have a Pc that can play Crysis on max settings."
Right. Okay then mate.
I have a different reason I'd like to pose. I'm not saying this is true or even likely, just a possibility:
But on the leaked version, they had a low, medium and high graphics settings, albeit with different names. Someone rooting through config files discovered that the 'high' preset setting was only the equivalent of medium according to config files. So MAYBE, Crytek released the game in this form to trick people into thinking it will run really well at hig...
IGN do this with loads of anticipated games which have trailers not representative of gameplay. This is no exception.
This is such a stupid article. Just looking to siphon hits out of nowhere.
The trailer doesn't have to be original anyway, it was emotional, fantastically displayed and directed brilliantly.
Not really gonna be the same at all (not that I think Crytek have done much wrong) as the PC version is pretty much complete, just bug testing. The console versions can't really affect it much now. What's done is the same.
10'000 is a relatively small number, very possible.
You even said it looks very good so may I pose the question: Why the hell does it matter?
It's not PS3 footage, the Crysis 2 leaked Beta has a 'PS3' graphics setting if you look into the editor, so this is the equivalent of what the PS3 should look like unless EA/Crytek have used this as a publicity stunt and actually the PS3 version is much worse than what is hinted at in the leak... I don't know about that though.
People are disagreeing because your comment literally means nothing in this context and adds no value to this topic. What the PS3 can produce and what Crysis 2 produces on the PS3 are COMPLETELY different things.
But tbh I read back over what you've said and it seems to be some rubbish attempt at PS3 advertising from a desperate fanboy. Be happy with your quality purchase of the PS3, other people don't wanna hear about it when it's not relevant.
A bargain compared to regular UK price.
