They are games, But I did see several games that are already available on Android/iOS (e.g., Plague,Inc., Threes, etc. -- It went fast, so there may have been more). Not sure how many of the indie games, if any, were XB1 exclusives, as opposed to multiplatform.
what was Phil's response to Geoff's question about titles possibly looking better on PS4?
@XiYakushijuAkeginuXi
I THINK that it was the Platinum Games reveal of Scalebound... Bayonetta with dinosaurs/dragons/monsters?
Not enough to get an XB1 for me, but I really did like what I saw regarding Sunset Overdrive and Project Spark, though!
I'm a PS4 owner and not planning on getting an XB1, but judging from the gameplay at the MS press conference, this game looks really, really fun. Nice sense of humor, fun graphics style and gameplay. This is one I would love to play! Nice showing from Insomniac!
Interesting... When it released its original sales goals, Sony was expecting 5 million SHIPPED units, but SOLD-THROUGH over 7 million to consumers... When companies release sales goals/expectations, they never say "shipped" vs. "sold"... This means that Sony never expected to sell through even the 5 million units they anticipated. Great admission by House that Sony was originally referencing shipped units last year when they made their goals public. This partially explains...
Destiny's resolution is "higher"... Higher than what??? Higher than the PS4's?... Higher than Destiny with Kinect? Higher than a kite?
@FasterThanFTL
Agreed. This is actually embarrassing. MS touted Kinect 2 as an integral part of the XB1... that Kinect could not be unbundled from the XB1 and that XB1 was designed with the Kinect integrated so that it would not work without it. So, for all of those who purchased an XB1 at launch through today, you should be more upset that you got a gimped system. Yes, a gimped system that was weighed down by the very features that was supposed to make it the next evolut...
You do realize that Sony's PS division is the most profitable division for Sony... It is the TV and computer divisions that hurt Sony, not their gaming interests. Read up on it, rather than just spouting some nonsense. You may want to consider applying for a job at Fox News.
Good luck, MS. MS has a lot to prove at E3, but that is only the beginning. MS needs to SHOW, not just talk... They are great at press conferences (Cirque du Soliel, Kinect/Project Natal faked, etc.), but this time is different... gamers are skeptical of them this time around.
For anyone who thinks that the new "Kinectless" XB1 will just outsell PS4, keep dreaming. May happen (I guess), but the day before launch of the new sku, PS4 is still at number 6 on Amazon ...
Day One editions of the XB1 are STILL in stock on Amazon (U.S.)!! http://www.amazon.com/Xbox-...
I mean, really?? MS is the master of spin and this time, it blew up in their face. There have been so many issues with MS and the XB1 since the reveal, it is almost comical. Sony may have had a f...
Nah, it will be about Fallon's reaction to the thing... people get excited when they see others show enthusiasm. Plus, Fallon has a lot of video game street cred with the mainstream... and it is now the Tonight Show, not a late show... A lot more viewers than Fallon used to have. Big opportunity for Sony.
It is listed as a multi-platform release -- PS4, XB1 and Steam -- on the developer's website. Perhaps it is a timed exclusive? Or, just co-marketing with Sony.
My question is if you have an internet issue at home or if there is a server-side problem, does your "cloud-powered" game function normally or does it get downgraded graphics-wise or do you have stuttering and frame tearing? Do you lose certain assets from the game under those circumstances?
Isn't that an inherent problem with the "cloud"? I know that there have been times, even with music that I have stored through Amazon and Google, where there is ...
D'OH!
Huge disappointment. My most anticipated game this fall. :(
Brent Adams from Epic Battle Axe is going to have a coronary!
@lifeisgamesok
"Controller doesn't feel cheap"...
Ummm. I don't know if you have used the DS4, but it has received wide acclaim, with most of the reviews stating that it is actually better than the XB1 controller. Although, this is certainly subjective, the DS4 feels anything but "cheap".
"Better launch lineup"...
Also, completely subjective. The only "launch" game that I was...
"It's going to be very difficult for Sony to win E3"
LOL
One of my favorite 2600 games was called Megamania! Loved, loved, loved that game... and let us not forget Adventure and the world's first Easter Egg!
I already have a portable Ouya...it's called an HTC Evo.
"Project CARS will be one of the first games on PS4 to support virtual reality via the Project Morpheus headset."
Man... Sony is on fire this generation with the primary developer support! It seems as if every developer is putting the PS4 first and foremost, if not specifically in development, at least in terms of marketing!
Wish I had the time to play every game. :(
