EDIT: Sorry... first posted wrong comment to wrong story... here is what I meant to post here:
This reporter asked him some TOUGH questions... Didn't pull punches at all... I respect that. And, although I have not been an XBox supporter, I actually grew to respect Phil Spencer based upon his responses in this interview. I think I may like the guy! We shall see where MS goes over the next year.
Here are some of the questions asked that I liked:
@Mr Pumblechook
I agree that it is most likely a timed exclusive at this point. But, if Sony is smart, they will tie it down as a full blown exclusive. Strike while the iron is hot. Hello Games is a small shop and went through that recent flood/insurance problem... Sony has a great relationship with them by giving them a shot with Joe Danger. Now, Sony can totally tie them down like MS did with Titanfall. The difference is that I think this game has way longer legs than ...
Disagrees with Destrania's comment because it is HIS most anticipated game this year? If it is not YOUR most anticipated game, then take the time to at least make a brief comment, but to disagree with HIS opinion about what HE is looking forward to is plain silly.
@Ballsack
It will sell systems.... when it is released NEXT YEAR... How many is the question. We are expecting Uncharted 4 next year, as well, which is a PS4 system seller. The question is, with both "system sellers" coming out next year (even conceding that Halo 5 may sell more than U4), how much ground will that game allow the XB1 to make up? Even if it sells 2 million copies, will it move millions of XB1s? Will it make a meaningful dent in the PS4's lead?...
@XiNarutoUzumaki
I agree. No one complained about Uncharted 1-3 or The Last of Us, all of which have won more Game of the Year awards than almost any other games in history. They are linear story-driven games. You don't ever deviate from the story -- they are interactive movies, if you will. Why The Order is getting slammed for this is beyond me. Double standard.
Seriously? You didn't realize he was joking? Does everyone on N4G need to put a ;-) or a /s for people to get that there is a joke or sarcastic comment being made?

Way to miss the point. gigoran was simply saying that Destiny was analogous to WOW in terms of how much money has been spent on WOW over the years and that the hope by the developer and publisher is to have that same sort of lifespan on the game. WOW is a different type of game all together with a different business model. Seriously, why are so many people on N4G so obtuse sometimes?
It only mattered LAST generation, when it was XB360 vs. PS3. This generation, it doesn't matter. Interesting.
Everyone's a critic!! ;-)
@Software_Lover
Actually, there are "winners" at CES and every other trade show out there.... Trades always award "Best in Show", best in specific categories, best overall products, etc.
Honestly, Uncharted games are all "linear"... They are LINEAR because they are story-driven games. The Order a "cinematic" story type of game, similar to Uncharted 1-3. That being said, I can't wait to play it!
I think that he might have been referring to the Beta possibly not coming West. The trailers are in English, for gosh darn sake! and it was shown at E3, the West's biggest game conference. They have shown it at seeral events in the U.S. and at the PS4 announcement event in the U.S. Every other day, things get "lost in translation" and this is just another example.
@funkybudda...
I'm a Sony guy and I think that Sony "won", but seriously, "Xbox Done. THE END" is a little bit of hyperbole, don't you think?
This is a mainstream business website. Very widely read. Not some no name video game blog...
@morganfell
But, I thought that Orange was the New Black!
Gold??? Really? To each his own, I guess.
@truefan1
"I do find it funny the gaming press and writers were impressed, but N4G calls their showing mediocre at best."
Actually, the guys on Gametrailers, although trying to put some positive spin on it, were clearly underwhelmed, including Adam Sessler. The consensus appears to be that MS did "what they needed to do", no more, no less.

EDIT: MS needed to persuade non-XB1 owners and I don't know if they did that...
Anyone know what is the difference between "Everquest Next" and "Everquest Next Landmark"? This article references both.
Chicken and the egg syndrome. Need games to sell systems, but need systems to sell before developers make games. Nintendo put themselves in a tough position regarding third party support. BUT, Nintendo has always primarily been a first-party game company that lives or dies on the strength of their core Nintendo franchises... With the WiiU, there was an attempt by Nintendo to get outside that box a bit, but they have not made the right decisions and moves since launch 2 years ago... At this po...
