This is in response to the fact that even with the new XB1 SKU, the console is not moving off shelves.
The only part of the Sony conference that was slow and threw off the pacing was the 'Powers' reveal. It was unnecessary to go on about it for the length of time that they did. They could have shown a trailer and it would have been fine. It was this years "Wonderbook" moment.
Sorry about the length of this post, but please read as I think I make some valid points. If you don't agree, please let me know why...
Here is a thought. If it is too expensive for you, don't rent the game. I am in the beta and I think that the one-month rental prices are not bad at all. The problem that I have is with the 4-hour rental. It should be 24 or 48 hours. However, if you compare the one-week rental price ($6 to $8) to what it would cost for you to ren...
I read in Game Informer's review that it was a beautiful game, but that the gameplay was lacking. I really want to download it, but at $15, is it worth it? Anyone that has played?
"The Xbox One is in second place behind Sony's PlayStation 4, with five million units sold worldwide compared to the PS4's seven million."
CORRECTION: The Xbox One is in second place behind Sony's PlayStation 4, with five million units SHIPPED TO RETAILERS worldwide compared to the PS4's seven million SOLD THROUGH TO CONSUMERS.
How can anyone disagree that the PS3 outsold the 360 WORLDWIDE. That is a fact.
"Expanding beyond video games..."
Just like the Rift. That is awesome! I am really looking forward to non-gaming applications for VR, including virtual travel, educational apps, attending a movie in virtual space, and things that are not even a glimmer in anyone's mind yet. The possibilities are endless.... of course, sex is always a good bet, but not for Morpheus most likely... Unless, like the Rift, Sony will eventually open up Morpheus to the PC...
"I wonder which one Hitler would want ?"
Huh? Was that supposed to be funny?
I've been in the beta for a couple of months on the PS3 and now the PS4. I have no lag at all. Maybe it depends on your location, but I have been really impressed with it. I was amazed that it actually works!
No.
It will be close this holiday season in the U.S., with it being anyone's game. But, remember that PS4 is at least 500,000 above XB1 sales in the U.S.... that is a lot of ground to make up in one holiday season.
As far as the rest of the world, MS has no real hope of catching up. PS4 is ahead by several million (as many as 3 million). MS does not have the mindshare that Sony does in Europe and Asia. The only hope that the XB1 had of being #1 in a m...
No... I got your point. The bottom line is that MS has not been kind to indie developers over the years and that sticks in the craw of many of the guys you see quoted in interviews. I would hope that the new management at MS makes positive changes in this regard, but MS has to realize that they don't have the market share or mind share that they did with the 360, so silly policies like the "parity clause" needs to be removed if they hope to get on par with what Sony is currentl...
You should get an ad block extension... I use Ad Block on Chrome and had no pop-ups on the page.
They are all being overly positive.... what else are they going to say? They want to sell games and continue to work with MS in the future. This is silly article.
EDIT: This article is probalby more representative of how indie developers feels about working with MS (compared to Sony):

The article only gives XB1 examples because there have not been any PS4 examples when you compare the 2 current gen consoles...
"It's not just the Xbox One that's hampered by too little horsepower. While Sony's PlayStation 4 does have beefier hardware, it's still running into similar issues, just less frequently."
The article calls out both the PS4 and XB1, but it looks like it is just for the purpose of being even-handed and prov...
@DanteVFenris666
"Wait if you have a ps4 why would you wait most likley a year for the xone version?"
Because he doesn't have a PS4.
1.5 million?? You are crazy. Titanfall on XB1 has not done over a million. I will check back with you after some numbers are released. How long do you give it to reach your 1.5 million number?? Give me a time frame on that.
EDIT: There are less than 3 million XB1s in the U.S. and under 5 million worldwide (That is sold to retailers at last count, not to consumers)... That said, do you honestly believe that 20 to 25 percent of XB1 owners worldwide (or up to third of XB1 own...
Sunset Overdrive was one of the only games coming to Xbox that I really liked at the Microsoft E3 press conference. Looks like a lot of fun. Love the energy about it. Wish it was coming to PS4 (I know it is not)... However, is it a "killer app" or "system seller"? I personally don't think so, but it remains to be seen. The last "killer app" for XB1 was Titanfall, which (although it did move a fair number of XB1s) did not manage to dethrone PS4 as the best...
Well, the June numbers from NPD showed that VG was undercounting PS4s by about 50,000 units and overcounting XB1s by about 35,000 units... So, the numbers are probably even better than this for the PS4.
The "media"? You mean MSN... that is the website that this blurb (can't call it an article as it is only one paragraph) comes from.
This game is a harbinger of doom... a sign that the apocalypse, nay, the end of days is upon us!
