I know I've been singing its praises (many gamers have) but damnit if it isn't an awesome game. At this point in playing a game, for the most part, GOW, HZD, Wild Hunt, A Theif's End etc, I'm used to the graphical fidelity of a game. You know the power never really mattered to me. No way I don't want games that look like shit obviously but the reason I loved Xbox was because of games like KOTOR, Jade Empire, Otogi, Theif Deadly Shadows, Strangers Wraith, Morrowind and so on. I loved my PS2 and Xbox and then got a 360. Loved it until it all went to hell. I went through 4 RRDs as well and about half way through the quality started to slip. Alan Wake was the last exclusive I bought and I loved it but those types of games...
I'm with ya. I was a huge Xbox fan back in the day. Loved my Xbox and its exclusives. Loved my 360 and then it all seemed to go wrong. Multiple RRDs and the games just not advancing in quality and narrative like Sony's.
This is the first gen I haven't owned an Xbox. At this point I've just given up but if the day comes and they can get back to delivering amazing quality exclusives I'll be there!

I prefer both and for the most part I get it. I love GOW for its art direction and its story. Same with Wild Hunt and HZD, A Theif's End and Days Gone. but I also love Fire Watch, The Forest and What Remains of Edith Finch, Hyper Light Drifter, Hob etc.

Agree and I'd say it's game world is more detailed than HZD. The little details in it are pretty amazing. I can't believe it's powered by Unreal 4. I'd swear they used Decima because it looks so great!
It just gets better and better. The most fun I've had in an open world since Wild Hunt and HZD! I keep saying it but the detail Bend put into this world boggles my mind!
Man it has got some of the best audio! From sound effects from Freakers, animals and weather it's incredible. The score is phenomenal as well, one of my favorites and I like how at Lost Lake a guy will pick and sing original songs.

If Xbox exclusives were of this quality I'd get an Xbox today. Back in the day Xbox had high quality exclusives but those days have long since passed!
Yeah the Predator IP is ripe for something like this. I was 7 when Predator hit theaters and it was my first movie in a theater so it's close to my heart!
I'm more of a SP guy but this is something that if done right I'll give it a go. The setting and lore would be perfect for this and there have been many Yautja throughout the films and comics to pull from.
Not sure why this is a hot take because at this point it's obvious where Sony and M$ are headed. Just as you stated Sony is going the more traditional route and I'm so glad they are the market leader.
I got a little of that but at least the writer admits they were wrong. Not nearly enough of that in day and age!
