I'll tell you exactly why people are getting annoyed. For years, the length of playtime you'd get from a game was something that would be touted as a selling point. Naturally, anything less than the amount people were conditioned to getting starts to make people feel like they're being ripped off. Unfortunately, that's just a bad way to look at it. I'd rather take a short game with great replay value (Platinum's titles are a good example of this, especially Vanquish) t...
They were good enough at coding that they made me buy Halo AND an Xbox because of the five minutes of gameplay I saw way back when the game was released.
The little bit I saw of the game in motion plus all the details revealed so far almost made me preorder the game. People can be as negative as they want and while I can understand the "wait and see" attitude in regards to this game, remember that this is Bungie, who have a pretty impressive track record as it is. I think this is a game to look forward to and may just very well wind up being something phenomenal. I surely hope so!
That 7 review was labeled as a fake. Tomorrow we'll see what's up.
Quite frankly, if you don't want to support the microtransaction system, you don't have to. The fact of the matter is, microtransactions are here to stay. The Dead Space games have been mining for dollars ever since the first one, which had for its time, a ridiculous amount of DLC in the form of suits and weapon packs upon its release.
What really matters here? I played the demo and thought that it did a fantastic job keeping the feel of the first two games. Yeah, sur...
Just thinking the same thing. I think this game is going to release to middling reviews, personally. It's gonna be a good title for nostalgic reasons and adherence to the aesthetics of the original film but I think it's going to fall short where it matters most. At any rate, Dead Space 3 will be around to satiate my need to kill nasty beasties in space.
That's fifty bucks on top of what you're already spending on the game. This is getting out of hand.
I'll tell you the truth, I feel that less is better. Dead Space 2 got WAY too much exposure going into the release and I thought I had seen too much going into it as opposed to the original Dead Space which I went into pretty much cold. I'm hoping they keep most of their surprises under wraps with DS3 but not as much as I hope they manage to retain at least some of the scares that made the original Dead Space so damn great.
Wow, so people are annoyed that Rockstar isn't doing things exactly like they've done with just about every other GTA title before. I, for one, am welcoming this change with open arms. The few details released thus far have me completely excited for GTA V. I swear, I love videogames but the fans make me hesitant to call myself a fan as well. Buncha whining, entitled babies who feel the need the need to shit on something before even trying it out yourselves.
I live uptown in NYC and this hurricane was pretty bad. Anyone complaining about Rockstar not delivering the GTAV trailer needs to get off the gaming forums and look at a news site. GTAV isn't the first thing on my mind when I'm thinking about the thousands of people who JUST got their power back last night after some brutally cold weather.
It's all subjective. Capcom is pushing like hell for this game to sell big numbers but the special editions they're releasing are simply ridiculous. A leather jacket? Who the hell is actually going to shell out over a grand for this?
I actually JUST finished this game today after sinking probably 90+ hours into it. As many flaws as the game has, it has many things about it that are absolutely fantastic. I especially love the music and the ending, which wrapped everything up as nicely as you could possibly ask for. I recommend this game with a big thumbs up.
How could it? Those games being offered are kinda crap, sorry.
The silver 360 controller has exactly that.
Absolutely my point also.
You know what, I know this is gonna get the stones thrown at me but you've gotta admit, the guy has a point. The PS3 controller feels pretty damn flimsy in comparison to the Xbox 360's. I prefer a controller with a little bit of weight behind it personally. I was also never really crazy about the symbols on the buttons only because it became a pain in the ass when you switched from one system to the other and all of a sudden, you're playing a PS3 and the X button is suddenly at 6 ...
Wow, what a bunch of crying whores. You guys act like you get paid per post to defend the PS3 and the guy didn't even say anything outrageous. People, relax.
All that matters here is that kids shouldn't be able to get their hands on this game anyway, regardless of any publicity campaign. It's rated M for Mature for a reason. The only people who can be blamed for kids getting their mitts on inappropriate games are the parents who buy these games for their kids without doing the research first. There's a reason the ESRB was put into place. I'm sick of people looking for others to do the parenting for them already.
I'm a parent and this video chilled me. Thank God the kid is okay, this could have ended tragically.
That's a shame because this last game in the series is pretty awesome. Somehow, I think the whole microtransaction thing screwed them, which is silly being that you don't even have to bother with any of that stuff if you don't want to.
