This is one of the best games I have ever played, PERIOD. I'm not even done with it having just arrived in Venice in the game but so far, it has been nothing short of incredible. This one is a must own.
I was excited about this one. Emphasis on was. Now with the review scores and each one citing the same flaws (repetitive, last third doesn't live up to the first third, camera issues, etc.), I think I'll skip out on this one.
I loved Avatar but every 20 min or so, I had to rub the hell out of my eyes just to be able to see properly. When 3D home viewing becomes more affordable and not as expensive, then I'd say yeah. Also, they'll need to make it more of a comfortable viewing experience and not one that's gonna cause your eyes to go ballistic. Imagine playing a fast paced FPS in 3D with all the motion blur it has at the moment? No thanks. It will indeed be the wave of the future but its not going to catch on as qu...

... which is why I plainly stated that I'd wait to see the final products before giving a final opinion on which of the three is the best. And even then, I'd take the Bayonetta demo that was released over the two demos in question anyway. You can't play Bayonetta and tell me that the controls are not way more refined, even in the demo.
Sure took a while to get that system going and even then...
He was talking about the GOW3 demo being the greatest thing he had ever seen since his first book of food stamps and you know what? It wasn't that great of a demo. Technically impressive, sure but it was a little underwhelming for a game that's supposed to be the end all, be all game of 2010. As for HHG, that guy is a flamebait hype machine.
I found that demo a little underwhelming in all honesty. Between this, Dante's and Bayonetta, I'm putting Bayonetta ahead of the other two mainly due to the high level of polish that game has. I'm waiting to see the final products for both Dante's and GOW3 before I make my final opinions but Bayonetta is the best of the three at this stage of the game.
Having a wife or girlfriend that is an avid gamer herself is one thing I consider myself blessed to have. Sometimes she'll just plop down on the couch and say, "I wanna watch you play something. Put on Dead Space." I mean, what more can a guy ask for? :)
I'm THE whore for this game at the moment but I don't see myself shelling out $150 just to get a plasma cutter model. A nice concise edition complete with soundtrack, art, nice packaging and any extras like another anime film, short live action films, documentaries, a look at the influences on the game, I'd be down with all of that.
Don't get me wrong, I love great graphics but graphics come second. Gameplay simply must come first. I can't wait for Alan Wake!
I have a friend who is a great guy but can be really annoying when it comes to gaming. He's the kind of guy that will call you every day until you get that game that he wants you to buy, so the two of you can play co-op whenever he wants. I don't like being badgered or bullied into doing anything and that's exactly what it feels like. But the best part is how after playing the game maybe two or three times, he's already moved on to something else, leaving you with a copy of a game you're real...
I sat on that game for a year and when I finally started playing it, I couldn't stop. ME2 looks sick!
That's EXACTLY what I said. Hypocrisy rules these boards.
Sorry, it doesn't. I'd rather play a game with subpar graphic and kick ass gameplay than a beautiful game that I'll forget about a day after finishing it.
All I'm gonna say is, up until last night the VGA's were getting SLAMMED by the PS3 community as being bought out by Microsoft and something not to be taken seriously, etc. etc.
Now, everyone's so happy that UC2 won game of the year that some kind of strange amnesia has set in. Sorry but I find it utterly sickening.
I'm not big on the PS3. I don't own one nor do I plan to get one. I do however think that UC2 is more than deserving of getting such a high accolade. I h...
Dude, don't even bother. This site isn't the place for well written articles that make valid points or rational, mature discussions. Just know that if you have any slightly negative leanings towards the PS3, you're gonna get chewed up and spit out. And most likely it won't be in a logical way. Good article by the way.
The hell with this, I want to stay as clean on this as I can. I don't want to look forward to seeing any details in the game that I read about months in advance, I don't want to know any more about the story than I already do and I definitely do not want to know any more about the scares they have planned. I will say this: if it's actually scarier than the first one, my obituary will say, "Thank you Dead Space for killing my ass."
At least MS is trying doing something about it. Sony's too busy trying to keep their system afloat to bother with cheaters and the like, you know, things that only ruin the entire online component of a game with a huge community.
Why all the negativity surrounding this one? The reviews so far have been pretty interesting to say the least and after playing the demo, this one is a definite purchase. The only reason anyone would get upset by this article is because they're hoping their little PS3 exclusive that could doesn't get upstaged by a game that happens to be available on both consoles. Either that or the mere possibility is something they just can't handle.
This isn't the first time I've heard this claim being bandied about. This game must really be something.
