I loved Alan Wake personally. Thing is, it was never going to be a blockbuster hit on the level of say, CoD. It's a game that requires a little more brainpower rather than twitch game play. I'm a huge Stephen King fan and the game just spoke volumes to me from the opening screens. It makes me kind of sad to think that the more expensive these games cost to produce, the less we'll see real risks being taken in terms of exciting content and new, quirky stuff. It's the reason why...
There's a pretty decent Alan Wake sale going in XBLA currently. I just picked up American Nightmare for 320 MS points. Everything else is priced pretty cheap also.
All kidding aside, and I know I'm gonna get flamed for this one but that Xbox looked a whole hell of a lot interesting than anything shown at the PS4 conference. Anyone bitching about needing to see more games will have to wait until E3. That's just MS playing their cards right. It's the exact same strategy that Rockstar uses when showing off their games and it always works to get people hyped up. Funny that most of you seem to be annoyed about the fact that the system doesn't...
I'll just use my arm, if that's cool.
343i did a remarkable job with it (though I do agree, there are some strange random things going on that could be considered a little wonky) but the one thing that kept me coming back was the specialization tree and the general leveling up and spartan customization. There was a lot of stuff to unlock and plenty of reasons to keep coming back to it.
If Nintendo would drop consoles and simply publish games for the various consoles, they would make a KILLING. Imagine if they were to start selling compilations of their older games on various platforms? I'm literally drooling at the mere idea of that.
Halo 4 was among the series best. Seriously, I don't get all the hate for it.
XCOM is by no means a fun game on Impossible Ironman. I almost destroyed my Xbox just the other day.
Oh, and when they finally reveal the system itself and how it looks, let these girls be the ones to unveil it and do what they do in this video:

That is all.
I think the most important thing they could and should do is to make XBL into something that's worth the $60 because at this current state, it's almost fair to say that we're not getting the bang for our buck that we used to. I recently (finally, actually) took a look at the PS Plus program and what it is that they offer and I have to say, even though the games they give away for free are already a couple of months old, they're making sure that customers are walking away incre...
I'm not crazy about this guy or his opinions but he may just have a point here. The playing field is much different than it was when the PS3 and Xbox 360 were released.
Good article but the author obviously hasn't played Max Payne 3.
Wow, I'm surprised. I feel that out of all of them, this was the one that I downloaded the most tracks from. Fusion FM (I think that was name of the station) was pretty awesome.
It's amazing to me that people are so quick to slam the next Xbox when NO OFFICIAL INFORMATION ON IT HAS BEEN RELEASED. Seriously, how can anyone compare the two systems when you don't know half the story? If you had two girls standing in front of you and one of them had a bag over their head, would you say that the one whose face you could see was infinitely prettier than the other? All that's going on right now is a complete display of impatience when the official reveal is less...
You're kidding, right? I know it's all opinion or whatever but GTAIV had phenomenal music across the board.
You deserve an extra bubble for that. Me and my buddy were JUST talking about that map. I want to see Waterworks make a comeback as well.
Messed it up completely? Man, that's a stretch. I'm still playing it and loving the hell out of it also. The game is technically astounding and gameplay wise, there's very little fault here. It may not be as scary as the first but neither was the second one.
Dead Space 3 in no way compares to the butchery of the Resident Evil franchise, the latest one which I've seen selling for as low as $10.
Their marketing strategy has been sketchy after the release of the first game. What was so great about the first Dead Space was that no one saw it coming and it had minimal advertising, setting the stage for a bonafide sleeper hit. The second one's advertising campaign however was way too revealing to the point that I felt like I saw nearly the entire game before I even got to play it. They didn't help themselves the third time around with the stuff they showed out of context. The dem...
Three games released over five years.
Coming off of the first Dead Space game, I was a little disappointed that the scares weren't up to that level when I finally got my hands on Alan Wake but the game was still worth every second I spent with it. I loved the overall vibe of the game, which was very much in line with Twin Peaks and other works of David Lynch.
