Wipeout 2048 came out in Japan today, yes its still not a very japanese type game but Vita sales should go up for this week.
Ive always thought GTAV was a 2013 game.
GTAIV was announced at E3 06 and didnt come out till April 08, thats almost 2 years.
GTAV got announced in OCT 2011, so a spring 2013 release seems likely. We have only had 1 trailer so far, there is still going to be atleast another 3 trailers before release. And to fit 3 more trailers into 2012 is very tight.
Looks like im going to get the best of both world. I have an iPhone 4S and soon a Vita.
360 fans probably got really excited when they saw the headline. Then they find out its a XBLA title. Well atleast its not another Kinect game :)

It cost MS $56 in components to make a Kinect. Then you have to add manufacturing and shipping costs, ect. All in all its around $70 for MS. MS probably sells it to retailer for $110. So its $40 profit for retailers and $40 profit for MS. $500M marketing for 11m sales, is a loss of $60m.
God know how much MS spent on marketing in 2011. for an extra 7m units.

If i was a developer then i would make a game for the PS2. Much cheaper development costs and an audience of 150m+

I'm not the kind of person who see's a review score like this and then passes on the game. What ive seen of this game looks cool and different, so ill pick this game up when its on a Steam sale for around £2.

Nintendo isnt making money on the 3DS anymore because of the price drop.
Sony's Playstation division is one of the only divisions at Sony that makes them a profit.
Also Sony has said that the Vita is profitable from day 1.

I see the Xbox start to become the best selling console. But thats not because of the game side of the 360, its cause of Kinect buzz for mums and kids and all this TV services. Which appeal to a wider/main stream audience then us gamers. Oh and this is mainly going to be in the US market cause thats where MS put 90% of its effect/money.

@Sevir You know what kind of internals the PS4 would need to play games at 1080p at 240fps. I have a gaming PC with 2 HD 6970s. I run my games at 2560x1440 and for BF3 i get 50-60fps. I'll probably get 80fps running at 1080p.
So if i wanted to run BF3 at 1080p with 240fps i would need maybe 4 HD 6970s, that would be £1200 on graphics cards alone.
To run BF3 at 4k you would probably get 10-20fps.
Not Going To Happen.

I think the PS4/720 will start off with 1080p and 60fps but over the consoles life cycle developers will bring it back down to 720p so they can push more higher res textures, 4x or 8x AA and more information on screen at once.
