The Wii has a 90m+ install base and the small/indie developers still have not put full effect into the system. The WiiU isnt going to change anything.
This is how Nintendo's hardware always goes, its how the WiiU & 3DS will play out and you can already see that it happened with the Wii, DS, Gamecube and N64.
The only 3rd party dev that has managed to get a foot in is Ubisoft. But the kind of games Ubisoft has made for the Wii has been all for the casual audience.
I NEED to know how much the digital versions cost. I really hope they are cheaper on the Store.
For people worrying about Uncharted and Fifa being £45. Please do a quick Google search and you will find the game much cheaper.

I really want to know how much PSN versions of these games will be. Me hoping it will be £30 for uncharted, But im not holding my breath.
The Vitas AR tech is on another level to the 3DS. I dont no how it works but the Vitas camera doesnt have to see the card in view to know where objects are.
Like that big T-Rex that demoed. The AR card was on the floor and he was looking at the head and the T-Rex didnt despair.

Both consoles are going to do very well over the years. I dont see the sale gap being so huge this time though, 150m-80m. But you dont have to be the number 1 console to be successful. just like the 3 home consoles atm, all are a success.
I switched back to PC as my main platform back in March. After playing a bunch on games on the PC from BF3, GTAIV(again) and Metro 2033. I will never buy a multiplat game on the PS3 again. I see the littlest detail now from PS3 to PC. Like AA, I can put 16x AA on PC and when i see a PS3 game the jaggy edges drive me INSANE now.
Thats how COD gets 60fps. The game runs at 544p-600p sub HD, then scaled to 720p

The PlayTV is the best DVR on the market. Because it uses the PS3 power, it has a super fast interface compared to the crappy stand alone devices. And its hasnt been killed, you can still buy it. You dont have it in the US cause from what ive heard the US cable business is pretty f'ed up.

The Vita will have alot more pick up and play games then the 3DS. Because of the 100s of PS minis titles. Which are basically iPhone games with physical or touch controls. Then add PSN games.
The Vita pretty much has every gaming option covered.

The iPod touch got a 4 1/2 from them WTF
They say the battery life isnt impressive. But if you were to play games on the ipod touch dont expect to get anymore then 1-2 hours. And these are really simple games compared to what the Vita is outputting.

Every product in the UK is more expensive then the US. But in the UK Tax/VAT are included in the price. In the US that gets added on after the purchase, to my understanding.

none of these products line up with the currency rate.

Gaming journalism and even tech journalism are pretty much all US based. These outlets will no doubt do there best to make sure MS next console seem the best. Just like the 360.
In Japan the 360 doesnt do that well because its not Japanese made, and the PS3/Wii are. BUT the Japanese media doesnt have a voice outside Japan. I would love to see how different Japanese journalism talks about the consoles.
