Overall the 360 and xbox 1 aren't profitable but 360 currently makes an anual profit so why would they cancel it when it recouping it's losses?
Yet you click on a comment just to bash on my bashing. He who is without sin may cast the first stone...
Complicated controls explain the disappearance of Virtua Fighter. Most gamers just want to press a trigger to shoot and the other to aim, that is why a lot of action games fail too. No one want to remember long combos, it's easy to play FPS games they pretty much all control the same.
I'm not reading the article to give that poor excuse for a videogame site any hits.
I played the 360 version I'll try the PS3 one today but this is what stood out for me.
1) Poor framerate
2) Screan Tearing galore
3) Jaggies everywhere
4) Gunplay fails compared to Red Dead, if I shoot someone in the leg they should fall down and no one should withstand 6 bullets without body armor.
5) Quirky camera at times but it's minor.
I'll admit the story looks interesting but I'm not sure iritis can sa...
I don't think the xbox brand is going anywhere. MS is pulled in a billion from Live subscriptions and content alone last year with the cost of running it around 200 mill. That's a lot of profit. Sure xbox division has lost a lot of money but not do the viability of it's business model or position in the market. It due to 2 major mistakes: 1) xbox 1 could benefit from hardware reduction costs making it impossible for it to make money while keeping a competitive price. 2) The faulty...
Sony should sue Failtaku.
IMO MGS4 and Gears 1 were my favorite experiences this gen, although Gears 2 was among my biggest disappointments this gen also - most broken MP EVAR!
@tradingwarstories: lol at least you prove that anti-Semites (and most bigots) are morons. By definition an anti-Semitism is "discrimination against or prejudice or hostility toward Jews". I think labeling someone a "greedy Jew" is a tacit insinuation that the greed is due to the person being Jewish and is quintessential prejudice against Jewish people.
So yeah haters going to hate like the ignorant fools they are.
Finally they're on par with market prices.
Games should end epicly and leave you wanting more, not make you feel relieved it's over.
Most last bosses (and last levels) represent the developers complete creative failure in an otherwise amazing game. Too often games end by spamming enemies with spiked difficulty levels only to finish with the player doing an even more repetitive task with an even greater difficulty spike while fighting the last boss. This is both boring and frustrating, meanig it's just bad ga...
I'm not visiting Failtaku anymore, I do like the Sunday comics but they never pick the best ones anyways.
Spread the word that Kotaku are pathetic fanboys.
To me it has, I used to like them but it's obvious there ps3 haters.
She probably means te original xbox.
Maybe yu would prefer 1 COD every 2-3 years with a $60 yearly subscription fee cause that's what's comming COD fans.
Enjoy paying the same money each year for no new product mindless sheep.
What does being Jewish have to do with it? You almost sound ant-semetic. Kotick certainly is greedy but being Jewish has nothing to do with it; greed is present in every kind of human.
And before you think I'm defending Jews because I am one, think again because I'm black. I just hate bigotry.
They probably should have made a game longer than 6 hrs. Also, the sad thing is that an HS2 would probably sell better than Enslaved; it's facing very tough competition this year. If they made HS2 they would have had access to sony's internal studios' resources too. Imagine HS2 on the GOW3 engine.
I hope they delay Enslaved because it will be overshadowed this year
Ninja Theory are fools, if they made a HS2 exclusive to PS3 using the GOW3 engine it would have sold millions.
FPS games have needed a dive/roll mechanic for a long time. Very cool!
I'd only pay for a MMO. For me to pay for a FPS they'd need new map releases monthly and new 2 hr long sp story chapters every month kinda like TV episodes.
If they did that I'd pay no more than 8.99 a month
