In all fairness he could mean rip a retail copy.
I have to admit I rip my ps1 games to play on my phone at lunchtime.
I hope this is the start of a great comeback for the genre and not just a one off. :)
I hope you guys in America get it soon.
It was deffo our turn to get a jrpg first though after the snes/ps1/ps2 late pal releases!
I like it so far, I'm not sold on the voices but the jap voice track is there as an option.
I think not.
"if you aren't doing that [adding multiplayer aspects to single player], you are being criticised in your reviews for your lack of innovation"
This is a valid point but a critism I have of gaming reviews in general. If one game does something well in an area it doesn't then mean every game that doesn't also do that isn't invotive or is a dated design.
I give the example of linear games to open games in t...
It will come man, as you say the work is already done.
Hopefully it will sell plenty and help positively reinforce the dev and the popularity of the genre.
@Spenok
I would tell you I was hugely disapointed with FF13 in the flesh. I think the sales figures for it arn't a fair reflection as I bet many people like me bought it without thinking as an utter safe bet of a great game (as they always have been).
I think what will be more telling is initial sales period for FF13-2 to see how that is changed. I for one and definatly consider myself a heavy-weight FF fan will be reading reviews and renting first.
@blumatt
I think lots of auras and lots of Rezuckin... Squalls limit was the trick for me.
Just two days to go and the reviews are looking good! I'm so excited- finally some good ol' JRPG goodness to sink my teeth into! :D :D :D
edit: On side note I keep reading in reviews that Xenogears wasn't that special- It's my personal favourite Ps1 Rpg!
Why do they all have to have cheesy pop numbers these days?
If this is the direct result of having decent audio quality then bring back midi!
Hmmm very tempting....
You used to be cool Square... I thought we were friends... :(
I'm looking forward to "The Last Story" more anyways. Nobuo and Hironobu know whats what.
Sounds awesome.
3/5 are fps, what a bias list lol.
Heres mine:
1) Zelda
2) Uncharted/Gears tie (Ha I know I'm cheating a little)
3) Elder Scrolls
4) Forza
5) Battlefield
On the note of buttons there are solutions out there, google 'Phonejoy' it's a bluetooth Playstation style gamepad for Android but its nearly always out of stock because the guy is still nailing down the manufactoring logistics.
Love this game. Finished it yesterday. Highly recommended.
My internet can be tempormental, therefore my consoles and pc beat onlives value for me.
Plus I really love owning big bits of sexy hardware ...mmm tastey hardware.
Sweet. I somehow missed these games in the PS2 days, I was overwhelmed trying to keep up with all the JRPGs. Will pick this up for sure looks cool, I like the music.
Well even with the low quality screen shots it does look considerably better, factor in the framerate and full hd and yes- yes it is worth it.
I think it's a mistake to think PC gamers play on tiny screens mine and many people I know hook it up to their big tv's when gaming. That said the Xbox version looks plenty decent enough for someone not wanting to build a big mighty gaming tower.
What method are you refering to?
