Ok, reality is yes the engine is old and is only tweaked from release to release. But, you get most game modes I've ever seen and a community you know will be there day 1 to day 356! Whether you can put a value on that is up to you. Im playing fear 3....it's zombie mode "soul survivor" is waaay better than blops zombie mode (my opinion). But where are the gamers? <...
I read a few comments and I can't believe that no one has mentioned the obvious! No connection = no game!
Outages, hacks, and a biggie....sky rocketing provider costs will keep cloud gaming from mass consumption. And the lag of course.
Just keep in mind you got 3 difficulties that must be finished to get their trophies. Can't just play on insane right from the start and get the lower difficulty trophies.
But it's fun and fresh. Loved it!
We all like variety in our FPS in terms of modes....capture the flag or capture & hold......
But an fps dies quick by not having a deathmatch & team deathmatch. Yet we've seen soooo many game this past few months who thought they'd be foxy and get around a perceived competition with COD's or BFBC2?
I'm playing Fear 3....great game with very fresh MP, but not many people play MP or didn't buy it..yet.

I'm on the fence I like the style and potential. I'm not a fan of RE series controls...but they are good for this genre.
Nothing in this trailer was any worst than RE5. Except graphics. RE5 was a gorgeous looking game.
So....single player 5-8hrs (likely) with zero replay (likely)....you'd think the choice here be obvious. But I'm still thinking I want this! LOL
Shadows of the damned here too.
But I'm weary....it uses the RE5 tank controls. I'm not a fan of that.

Once hardware PC or otherwise is capable of Transformers movie fidelity but 60fps and near instant load times....we'll have reached the plateau of gaming potential.
And sadly....the gaming experiences we have now are going to be the same we'll have in this miracle future! So don't sweat the graphics. They'll be amazing. Certainly better than everybody but P...

Here's another example: split/second or MOH.
Both games were great for the length and time I invested. But neither are AAA.
As gamers we know what we like. But occasionally their are titles that can pass us by.

I'm curious. If we rated halo 1 after playing halo 2....but still played halo 1 first.

Im of the skool that a game should be reviewed based on it's merits. Not sorta-sequel failings.
Is it fun? Yes. Does it work as intended & advertised? Yes
Could it have been wfc2 in functionality? Sure.
But it's a good game on it's own.

Animation is not fluid. And the games premise hinges on the fluidity of movement.
I finished it in 1 sitting and wasn't let down by the gameplay...but, rather the potential missed. And this reviewer is right! They promised soooo much but under delivered on almost everything but the customization.
But it's $39.99 @ BB this week start on the 17th.

As COD became the defacto beast in revenue in the gaming industry; shareholders took notice and influenced Actibitch into it's current greed. From a dev pov it's not at all a good idea to introduce a sub service to fanbase that has never had to consider a sub service before.

Dirt 2 runs better than Dirt 3.
And though games are sometimes concurrently created for ps3 & 360....it can still be partially a port. If it was developed first on 360 then transplanted to ps3.....that a port job. Even if the total product isn't finished.
