@Concertoine
What has competence got to do with pointing out bitter facts? Do you even know meaning of the word incompetence and the context it is used in?? The guy attacked other networks and I only replied with facts. Try to learn a little about DDOS attacks and what they are so that you can realize that they are almost impossible to prevent when somebody decides to attack your website or network. It is not a hack; they are just hundreds of thousands of artificially generat...
And what can you actually play on that network? Destiny? CoD? Halo? Battlefield? FFXIV: Realm Reborn? Forza? Wii U has none of those popular online multiplayer titles so what good is that network? Besides, I wonder how stable it would have been if it had more than a hundred million players and the lizard squad actually bothered targeting it but I guess they did not think it was even worth it.
Here come the profits... :/ Who the hell gives a damn about Nintendo's profits? Do we gamers get a share of them? Sales are what matter! PS4 never would have gotten SFV as exclusive it weren't for the sales. Xbox 360 never would have been able to take away several Playstation exclusives last gen if it werent for the sales. Developers DO NOT waste their money on a poorly selling console and as a result, the gamer who owns that console does not gets any games to play. Just like in the c...
Nintendo fans judge Nintendo console's success by Nintendo's profits and "fun." Sales, customer base and developer support do not matter to them. I wonder how they define and quantify this "fun" they often talk about that can supposedly only be offered by Nintendo.
I agree; customers are the ultimate judges and the judges have given their verdict against Wii U. Oh and what is up with all these articles in the past weeks praising Nintendo, declaring them the winner or telling people to buy their console/games. Either the NIntendo fans are in full gear or the Nintendo marketing machine is in the full gear. If they want to sell their consoles to customers then they will need to change and adapt to the modern gaming landscape. The gaming market has expanded...
I agree with you. Besides "sales do not matter" is an argument used only by the losing side. It is always the sour grapes case. "Third party games do not matter" "Exclusives do not matter." "Hardware power does not matters." People will always say that a thing does not matter which they do not have. As soon as they get them, they cannot stop raving about them. Just as it happened in November NPD sales figures in case of Xbox One fanboys.
Oh and ...
PSX and PS2 were a just little less powerful than the others. Not all consoles can be completely equal as different companies develop them but at least they utilize as much powerful hardware as they can. It was not a whole generation of difference in hardware power as in the case of Wii U. Moreover, PSX and PS2 had all those third party multiplats and exclusives which the Wii U does not have. There is no comparison between both cases.
EDIT: Yes, gameplay may be more importan...
LOL! Have a funny bubble man.
9 disagrees for what!? For stating the facts!? Looks like there are bitter and salty fanboys lurking around here somewhere who do not want anybody to upgrade to a PS4.
With SE track record, it is good to be cautious to avoid a major disappointment. However, as an old fan, I still hope that this will be the game that brings SE back in to form. Man, I miss the 90s when Squaresoft was a RPG juggernaut that could win a whole a generation for a console just by siding with it. They produced games of remarkable quality during that era.
Very excited about this game after the latest Jump Festa trailer. Finally, I will get to play it after waiting for almost 10 years! I hope they create a mind-blowing Final Fantasy title and the wait is worth it. Oh and I am glad somebody noticed that the giant in the trailer is the summon Titan! I was wondering about it being Titan but nobody else pointed it out. It looks like summons will be awesome in this game. There are also a few scenes with ice and snow so maybe they are hinting towards...
I already upgraded last week to a PS4 after selling my PS3 and I am glad about it. Actually, it was my wife's advice to do that so I can recover some of the money from my 3 year old PS3. It was a pretty wise advice as I got $220 for it from some university student. I do not think there are any more PS3 exclusives to come except for maybe Tales of Zestiria. All the rest of the games are also coming to PS4 so no loss. Playing FFXIV: Realm Reborn and Dragon Age: Inquisition right now and I a...
Your first FF??? You are pretty late to the party but welcome. I hope this game turns out to be great so it leaves a good impression on you as a first timer just like FF6, FF7 and FF8 (I know some people hate it but I love it) did during the 90s.
It looks like it is impossible to fix this game. It is THAT broken. I remember the days when Ubisoft used to be a respectable developer/publisher and was synonymous with quality games. How times have changed.
In the last year alone PS+ members got more than $1,000 worth of free games. There was an article about it just last week. Furthermore, you get hefty discounts. For example, this week several games including Metro Redux and Child of Light are 50% off for PS+ members! How is that not worth your subscription money? Furthermore, why do people think that free games is a standard service and part of PS+? It is a bonus service! People were paying for Xbox Live long before PS+ became mandatory for o...
Just like Twilight Princess, Skyward Sword and Windwaker HD made people cry in fetal positions...? /s
Please control your fanboyism. Nintendo fanboys always make such crazy claims for each Nintendo game and then go back to "sales do not matter" once they release and flop. Just look at what happened with each Wii U exclusive uptil now. None of them set the charts on fire or drove people to buy Wii Us.
@wonderfulmonkeyman
What you are saying is mere speculation, hope and wishful thinking. What I am saying is a historical trend with a precedent and evidence. Mario Kart 8 being the worst selling or not is not the issue here. The issue is the lack of popularity of Nintendo games and their ability to sell hardware. Has any of the Nintendo exclusives been able to move Wii U hardware despite the rave reviews? The answer is no and that is why you avoided the point in your comment....
Dont you think that is a little overenthusiastic prediction and similar to what was predicted for Super Mario 3D World, Mario Kart 8, Smash Bros. and Bayonetta 2?? The recent gameplay demonstration featuring a huge empty world with poor graphics was not exactly impressive for majority of the gamers. Moreover, have you checked out the sales and impact of the most recently released Zelda games? The series is not the juggernaut it used to be a decade or more ago. In fact, none of the Nintendo fr...
I do not get one because there are only 2 or 3 games that I would really like to play on Wii U. Moreover, you have to wait ages before a game comes along that you really want to play. In addition, I do not like games without stories so that eliminates majority of the Nintendo games catalog for me. Finally, you will not get all the AAA multiplats on Wii U. I, like most people, can only afford one console at a time so a Wii U is just not worth the investment for me.
Lightning Re-Returns: The Search for Everyone in a New World! :p Well Toriyama is capable of doing that given his love for Lightning.
