I can only pity your tastes in gaming. You should try playing something other than a shooter/racer once in a while. If you get out of the pond of shooters/racer, you will realize there are whole oceans of genres out there.

I think the reason for Playstation's success is variety. Playstation offers the most diverse lineup of games in the industry. I have grown up with Playstation since the PS1 (33 now) and my favorite genre of games is JRPG so its definitely PS4 for me. There is no other home console with JRPGs so I have no other choice.
In the end it is all a matter of preference in games. We do not play consoles; we play games. And we go wherever we can get the games/genres we want.
You are ignoring a lot of factors and information in order to reach that conclusion. The PS4 is doing good EVERYWHERE; and even in Japan it is doing miles better than Xbox One and much better than Wii U. Success is measured in relative terms and it is dong much better than its competitors. Furthermore, what about all the eastern games on the PS4 which are not on the Xbox One?

Exactly! I agree with you completely. I played the games on Hardcore at least and had a blast! You are really forced to learn to play better and improve your skills when you die frequently. There is no feeling better in gaming than the one you get by conquering your enemies with skill.
That is nice to hear; it is a good sign. Sakaguchi-san is the father of traditional turn-based Final Fantasy and nobody can give better tips than him. Even the Lost Odyssey made by him was an excellent game despite its flaws. Turn-based battle system just has its own unique charm; well at least for old-school gamers like me. I hope Tabata-san can come up with a nice hybrid solution that can please fans of both kind of battle systems.
Well said. People need to keep in mind that it was a "tech demo" and not the finished game or even an actual demo of a near-completion game. It is in no way representative of the final product which has been made clear. Tech demos are only a proof of concept. We have seen numerous mind-blowing tech demos but they rarely ever appear in final games in a exactly similar form. Remember the Kinect demos including Milo and Kate and how the end product turned out to be?

This is a strategy RPG and not a JRPG in the traditional sense. Kind of like Fire Emblem; you know you move in on blocks on the field, have different troops at disposal and fight in turn based combat. However, it is much deeper (or grindy) with a lot of levelling, item levelling, dungeons etc. I have seen people put upto 300 hours into a single game.
The opinion on this games seems to be a bit divided. I have also seen several 8 and 9 and even some 10s. 5 seems to be low than it deserves based on the average review scores. I want to give it a try. The game looks beautiful and mysterious.

Here is something "on-topic;" Uncharted: ND Collection is one fine piece of collection and just the omission of multiplayer does not makes it anything lesser. People do not play Uncharted for multiplayer; it is a single player experience where people play it for story, exhilarating set pieces and action! If you do not like it then get out of here and dont buy it.
