Multiplayer games rarely have the depth, narrative or diverse mechanics of single player games. I sick of pointing & shooting that most multiplayer games seems to offer.
Good, because it's brillaint. This game is designed not just to be played, but to be mastered!
UK retailers always try & take advantage of demand, as long as no one preorders them, the prices will drop (They tried to do this with the WiiU too)
Both!
It's a great game, but it's £3 (or $5) on PC, about £5 on PS3 & on PS Plus, a full priced version of this would be a complete waste of time.
Nintendo can definitely turn it around (like the 3DS), but they have massive competition in the console space and their advertising, pricing & lack of quality software isn't helping in the short or medium term.
The WiiU is a disaster at the minute. Nintendo need to turn it around by the summer or the competition is gonna overshadow it.
Well, killer application can be any software, which a game is, so both killer app & killer game can be used interchangeably. You should perhaps use commas if you're attacking people about the terminology they use!
That just makes me want it more!
Sounds like this is the Vita's killer app. It will hopefully kick start sales in Japan.
I understand that the WiiU isn't a massive success, but the 3DS is & Nintendo has massive reserves that they can weather a storm for a few years. Where have I gone wrong?
Nintendo has enough money in the bank to make $500 million losses for 20 years, so they're not going 3rd party. If they can make the WiiU successful is another question. Nintendo need to cut the price & get some games out there now, especially with Sony & Microsoft starting to get momentum.
Almost all developer kits are unfinished till 6 months before, happens to every console. Compare Uncharted 1 to Uncharted 3 for example!
Sony knows the biggest thing that hurt them early on was price, everything they've done is to get the price down, it's definitely not releasing for more than $450/330 pounds.
People very often sell their games to buy new ones. The argument that preowned games is destroying the industry is ridiculous. A block on used games would lead to far less sales, not more. Have you never traded games before? Never bought a used game then got the sequel new? The games industry is risk averse as if is, things would get even worst.
It's not just about buying used games, it's about swapping with friends & owning multiple consoles. Many people use their older games to buy new ones, the used games market helps games companies. I would buy far less games if I couldn't trade mine.
You are right. Gigaflops is a very poor measure of GPU performance.
Sony potentially could have another PS2 type success if half these rumours are true. How long is the conference?
A Gran Turismo title near the/at launch would be massive, especially in the UK/Europe. People on US sites seem to forget GT 5 sold 10 million copies.
Metal Gear Rising was number 1 on the PS3 chat in the UK & sold significant amount in Japan. It's also a get game while Crysis 3 is awful.
