Sony allowing developers to self publish is a big deal. Sony could get far more independent games than even Xbox Live in its heyday.

Sorry, but that's absolute rubbish, you can't increase the capabilities of a console via the cloud. The latency is too high. This is just an attempt to add always online. If you have any respect for your consumer rights, do not support this console.

No borrowing, swapping or used games, Kinect focus, TV stuff I'll never use (in the UK) & installing on harddrives (especially with the prices MS charged this generation!). Don Mattrick could have shit on stage & I would have preferred it.
Forced installs, no functioning without Kinect, online fees for borrowed/swapped/used games (I imagine the Kinect might even be used to id you). The console is dead on arrival. I buy bloody everything, but there's no way I'm touching this.

Almost all my favourite games are not massive sellers: Bayonetta, Dark Souls, ZombiU, SOTC. Under your reasoning, they shouldn't exist. Games like Battlefield/COD etc are a very narrow end of gaming. I prefer 10 mid/low cost exclusives to one massive one myself (then you get games like Puppeteer, Rain, Journey). I'm also sick of shooting things in every game.

Sony, Microsoft & Nintendo are businesses, but Microsoft truly has no passion for games. They only care about Call of Duty, Halo, etc; the mega sellers, I prefer diversity & originality. (Halo is fun though!)

The concept sounds very different to most games, apparently influenced by Dark Souls & fighting games. Hopefully next generation is gonna bring a really diverse selection of games this time around.

I hate it because of its anti consumer bullshit, online activations, Kinect spyware & it's underspecced. It would take substantial policy change to get me on board.
