There's no killer games & the price is still far to high for what it is. I'm sure Nintendo can turn it around like they did the 3DS. But competition in the console space is far stronger & offering far more, I feel it's gonna make money, but be like the Nintendo 64/Gamecube than a Wii like success.
EA are not the worst company, but definitely the worst gaming company by a country mile!
Always online for any single player game is a no no. I like owning & collecting things and suspect many people do too.
I'm so bored of industry experts telling me how I should play my games & what's best for me. More consoles have been sold than ever before & more games too. The consumer should shape the market, not the other way round. iOS & tablets are full of shite. If anything iOS & tablet gaming could collapse from market saturation.
Says man who only ever made PC games & not a decent one in 10.
There's no way it's gonna cost that much, Sony have designed the console to be as marketable as possible from the outset. Sony knows the PS3 really took off at $399 & think they'll aim for that price or very close to it (I'm thinking £330/$429).
Considering it has such few games & is relatively expensive I'm surprised it sold 80000 units to be honest.
Couldn't have put it better myself, the past performance can be a help or hindrance, but it's what the companies do now that really matters. With the logic the writer is using, Sega never would have been success with the Megadrive or Sony with the first Playstation.
It's things like this that should remind people that it's not all about iOS & tablets! I think if Sony launch at $400/£300 or very close to it, I think it could sell close to PS2 numbers.
England is in the middle of a terrible recession & it's not gonna improve anytime soon. :(
You have to be a really special publisher to kill SimCity, but I think they've done it!
Battlefield 2 was better than 3, Mass Effect 1 was better than 2 & 3, the first Dead Space was ten times better than 3, Sim City 4 is better than the new one. I think I see a theme emerging...
Hopefully people will focus on games again, not the system they're on!
No, it generates good will amongst PSN users. I got a Vita because of the content on PSN Plus. If they continue to do the same with the Playstation 4, I'll be buying that too!
Randy Pitchford too. What a lovely pair...
I wouldn't risk it with Game, if they go into administration again you would lose your deposit. I would recommend a online retailer that promises on the day delivery.
Why does that make a difference? These assets already exist!
Sony more than anyone knows when sales really took off: $400. It's definitely gonna be around that price point, maybe $429/449. Everyone thought the Vita was gonna be $400 when it was announced!
You're making my head hurt.
Really excited for Knack & The Witcher 3 personally. My most wanted though is Media Molecules new game, could be very interesting seeing how creative people are with tools more advanced than LBP.
