Any kind of internet connection to play your games means that publishers & Microsoft can stop you playing your games when they choose. Your games have a sell by date on Xbox One.
The cloud is the biggest load of crap I've ever heard. If something like SimCity is broken how is a fast paced shooter gonna work. It's madness & lies.
I'm taking about swearing online, etc. I'm just wondering what might happen in that situation.
If your Xbox Live account is locked/barred on the One, do you lose access to your games?
Actually, DRM, ownership etc affects how & where you play "your" games. When I say yours, I mean Microsoft's.
An open press is how we found out about these issues in the first place. Gamers need to think about gamers first, not multinational corporations.
Dragon's Dogma 2, a PS4 exclusive. Would definitely be one of the biggest reveals of E3
Love the TV show running at 5fps when she snapped live TV. Felt like the future.
Just so you know, "your" games will actually belong to Microsoft, not you. They could & will disable your games at any time. The whole point of DRM is control, if your internet goes down/or their servers, you don't play. That's the point. Anyone who defends this is an idiot.
Then you need a extra harddrive to play retail games (500GB is nothing if all games have to be put on it). The whole idea behind Xbox One is a total mess. Skype, gaming & internet searches on the same screen at the same time: Madness.
Looking forward to the PC version!
Ownership, data mining & invasion of civil liberties are not minor things. Microsoft has created the most anti consumer/intrusive device ever made. My opinion on it isn't going to change on the basis of a few games at E3 (it could have the best lineup ever). No one should support this, this goes way beyond games.
Steam is competitive because of competition with other PC game sellers. Only MS is selling games on Xbox One, games will not drop in price for years.
Origins ran at 1080p & 60fps on the PS3/Xbox 360. So pathetic.
You still need the camera on for Xbox One to function. I imagine s/he wants it off while playing a game.
Isn't the really important thing everyone is missing is that the game is single player "offline"? This reaffirms that the game doesn't require any form of internet connection.
Because in some parts of the world, it's month, day then year.
This game is also coming to PC too. Can't wait.
Super Meat Boy should be on that list, It's hell on earth. Still love it though.
This is from Microsoft's press release, it's as official as it gets.
