Its becoming an increasingly weak argument to say "Nintendo has no games". But I guess you feel if you keep telling yourself that it will become true, somehow.
I love how some folks are trying to troll this. The game looks beautiful already, Metroid is a series as "hardcore" as it gets really. I bet if Nintendo announced Wii Music 2 there would be multiple posts like in the 100's. But since this game is actually the game that stole the show, exclusively on Wii. We get silence, save for a couple of lame attempts at trolling.
It is really not even worth debating. Hardcore follow the games, not the platform. Devs follow the consumer (if their smart), the consumer has chosen Wii.
To me G4tv's E3 coverage was a joke. And their "journalists" are clueless hacks.
Yes, ALttP is one of the greatest games EVEr created, as is Super Metroid, which if Team Ninja can nail Other M..O man would that be better than great. But also don't forget Ocarina of Time, the game came closer than any other (save for maybe mario 64) at nailing the transition from 2-d to 3-d (Imo. Though stepping back from my obvious bias (OoT is the greatest game I've ever played, I've never had such a feeling of awe since) I can see how it could turn off existing fanbases of the game, lik...
Other M came out of Left field and looks amazing, can't wait til we hear about hands on time with it.
The word "casualization" has a negative connotation with it. I actually think they are trying to address the issue that Zelda may be heading towards a niche following. Making something accessible to more people is not a bad thing, in fact it is exactly what more devs should be focused on.
Look at the NES Zelda title, it was very deep, but ANYONE could pick up and play, I think what Nintendo is trying to do is recapture or capture that same formula with much more inten...
Your attempt at being intelligent is amusing.
And what would you call what Sony and M$ presented?
So, motion controls are no longer a gimmick?
I loved the games showed. Other M is just..yeah I had to throw my arms up in victory because I was not expecting that at all, I was thinking "starfox"? once that power suit came on it was a wrap. And Team Ninja? those guys don't play.
I think you have to look at the entirety of whats happenign to Wii this year. Third Parties starting to come aboard and I am no convinced more than ever that the Wii is the console DS. NSMB propelled DS to the heights it is as did MKDS,...
It's looking like its about that time. The game is sounding awesome.
That looks dope! Wow.
But more importantly the gameplay aspect sounds quite compelling. We'll see how it turns out.
You mods are serious? What I said was worthy of being banned from the gamerzone? You do know there is a huge disparity in which you dictate what is acceptable in Wii news sections and PS3 sections right? What I said was very very mild in comparison, and was meant to show how unimportant review scores are in that they do not reflect in sales. You guys sure are funny.
Though I still feel alil disappointed it wasn't either fps or tps.
Last year in general was weak, by design. Nintendo showecased WM+,Wii Speak, and Wii Music. They also gave much stage time to CoD and Shaun White two third party games that went platinum.
I think this E3 is all about the 3rd parties showing up on the Wii platform. I mean you can only bleed money for so long before you either go the way of factor 5 or change course.
I won't go into hardcore and casual talk, as I don't believe in any of the terms. I understand the distinction that is trying to be made..but why? The two terms are adjectives to describe how a game is played, not the game itself.
But I will say this; With all the games being announced for the Wii damn near on a daily basis, it will be hard for fanboys to continue playing that bingo. Your sheet will start looking very thin, either spelling out "IN" or "GO".
...
But mostly because the gameplay is so strong.
