Exactly Oobob. What I find hilarious is if indeed third aprties are parroting pachter with an HD system, that would be a death knell for them. They'd bleed to death if the situation was anything like last gen in terms of universality. The HD systems combined barely edge out the Wii and TP's are bleeding money. A Flop on an HD system closes studios down. A flop on Wii somehow gets a sequel ;)
And anyone who uses words like casual and hardcore to describe a videogame is in my opinion a poorly written piece of work. There is no such thing as casual and hardcore..There are only gamers. Where was all this talk last gen of such 'demographics"? All these buzzwords are an attempt to marginalize Wii's success and treat the so called casual gamer like a retard, because that's basically what that word is code for any way.

Wii continues to utterly destroy their competition month in and month out in the NPD and other tracking firms. But Nintendo and the Wii is always in danger of being doomed. We get these articles that are so poorly written and so misinformed that you have to wonder if its parody.

N4G long enough to have seen with my own eyes the contradictions and bad mouthing of VGC's so I know what I was talking about. VGC shows 360 over PS3 "Well its VGC its not true" PS3 over 360 "Great Job PS3" and vice versa.
And for the record I'm a fan of VGC regardless. But I'm a Wii fan so numbers released at this point in the game don't matter much to me. Wii won by a country mile and looking at these numbers, the lead is growing.

point wasn't missed. It was weak. Besides Table tennis on Wii outsold the 360 version. So there goes that theory. Also Motion Controls for a GTA game could have had an RE4 effect or Metroid effect.

it is hard to really be surprised at the domination Nintendo is delivering. Games released months and years prior, linger into present day sales. Evergreen. NSMB will be just like MKWii in that it will also remain a strong seller throughout Wii's lifetime.

To me, I'd just move forward as if OoT never happened and start fresh from a "story stand point." Much like how OoT was pretty much a fresh start for the series over a decade ago. I do believe it is time for OoT to be surpassed (it is still in my mind the goat) and the only way to do that is to not live in its shadow.
