Of a classic. The battle mode in this game is the best of all mk's.
Where Square is coming from. Although it would have been nice to see a wildly enhanced version of the game on Nintendo's first HD console, what about the half a million gamers that bought the game on Wii already? This way those customers don't feel shafted, and the consumers who buy the Wii U version will still be compatible and playable together with those who bought the Wii version.
Disappointing on some ends but practical on some others.
Thing about all the comments is how much of a bizarro world n4g is.
Wii was a revolutionary console with software sales that put the competition to shame. Caused 'copy cat' peripherals, and allowed Nintendo to reclaim their dominance. Name me a first party game from Sony or M$ that can equal the sales of NSMBWii or Mario Kart? Can't do it can you?
All this hate and fanboyism is silly. All for a company name on a piece of f*in plastic? Get a l...
You wouldn't be able to come to a Nintendo news post and talk about how much you don't care.
I hate to say it quite like this, but LBP isn't in the same league as Super Mario Bros.
World has plenty more boobs. And "life like" is no substitute for the real thing. Go to a mall.
As you are a Sony fan, I thought sales didn't matter? Seeing as how PS3 has been bringing up the rear the entire gen and Vita doesn't look to be bucking that trend for the next gen.
Listen, I get it, you dislike Nintendo, I understand. But if that's the case, why bother coming into a new post and writing bs like this? Why not go into a PS Battle Royal post, or Vita post and dwell there? I'm sure your opinions would be better suited for those.
Can only hope. Wave Race for N64 is a classic. I loved that game. If one comes to Wii U. Consider it bought for me.
It would be financial suicide to do so. And pointless.
Idea of no launch first party titles having an emphasis on online is extremely disappointing. This is 2012 not 2006, Nintendo. Online is a consumer expectation now, and no sugary words are going to cut it this time.
Of all Nintendo's weaknesses, the lack of online is their biggest.
Even myself gave them a pass last gen with the Wii, due to it being their first console to have an online infrastructure, but not two gens in a row. This is embarrassing fo...
Can usually take to the bank the exact opposite of what Pachter says.
PS3 would dominate this gen.
3DS launch price was Ideal.
Vita would take over the handheld market.
And now this.
Nintendo fanboyism? You've got to be kidding. And I was just pointing out the hypocrisy I see from fanboys on this site..Particular the Sony ones.
Congratulations on being a Jack ass.
Can't make such a claim this early into the next gen. You have no idea what the other consoles have planned. It's fine if you are excited about the Wii U. But don't get silly here.
Any way, if its worth the price is yet to be seen. I've not been hands on with any of the software so I can't say definitively for sure one way or the other.
My gut though tells me it is a bit too expensive. Economy is rough right now and $350 ain't cheap.
Before, I recall folks like you claiming how superior PS3 was due to what was under the hood. Now there is a system with more under the hood and suddenly PS3 is 'good enough?' Make up your minds.
That's the one area I really think The Wii was lacking (online)
But, considering this will be running at 60fps and 1080p, graphically it is superior, secondly, I've always enjoyed the Wii Remote for FPS' (the few I played) So while I'm not a huge CoD fan, this is on my radar as well.
Big on CoD, however, its not hard to understand why they are successful. They are quality games though, no denying that. And they have also become the standard of which other FPS' are measured.
Will this success continue for another gen? I'm not sure.
Well I was hoping they would still be rolling with the $49.99, but with the value of the American Dollar at record lows, what can you expect.
Only a matter of time before articles like this would appear.
Am I sold on the Wii U? Pretty much. Am I getting it at launch? No, probably not. Why? The price. It's too expensive. I can wait. By then the games library will be sure to be even more fleshed out anyway. I don't usually buy anything at launch any way. Not even the Wii.
But I will keep an eye on this console as, if I am going to jump in next gen I'd roll with the U.
Amazing how all the folks claiming how much a fail this is and how this issue of region locking is now main the reason why they won't be getting the console.
Gimme a break. You guys come in these Wii U posts every hour and talk shit about the console you never had/have any intention of buying lol. Its hilarious.
Nintendo has never sold a region free console..EVER. The real problem is not localizing the games in timely fashion like the case of Xenobla...
