Wow. Well I figured the hardcore gamers would have been pleased a game has been made better. I always thought hardcore gamers followed the games not the name on the plastic box.

They will suffer from consumers not seeing enough value in their console and find alternatives for their entertainment. That will in turn hurt their finances even further.

Nintendo fanboys as well as fanboys of the other companies will defend whatever decisions they make..good or bad. And fanboys alone aren't enough to propell a system into mass market acceptance. Just look at the Vita.

Would be able to tackle Zelda no sweat. They made a better Metroid than Sakamoto..Actually they made 3 Metroid games better than Sakamoto's, and I'm certain they'd be able to make a better Zelda than Aonuma's last 5 Zelda games.

But they won't get the chance unfortunately.

Will probably be the Nintendo Direct I pay most attention too. As I've stated in the past, how Nintendo approaches their online infrastructure and online services (especially, but not only the Virtual Console) is imperative for them moving forward.

It doesn't need any bloat, only efficient and simple execution. Allow its consumers to block or friend whomever they want, an account based system so that downloaded games aren't tied to the hardware (in case of hardw...

There's no way for a console to be right up to date with the latest and greatest. The PS3 was obsolete the moment it released, 360 had tech in it that low end PC's shi* on. This is the nature of technology.

Hell look at smartphones and smart TV's. It's pointless to try and keep up with the jones' especially concerning a games console.

And if you are trying to remain affordable to the masses, tech means even less important. The most im...

Are the specs of these fabled consoles? And how much $ are you willing to spend on them?

It's funny because its true.

Happens littlesuzy, Be prepared to pay $500 for a console if not more.

Infrastructure and Services will prove to be pivotal for their success. It is imperative for them to get this right.

Not the same as Mario, because Mario actually sells. It's an opinion of mine that the game was lame, nothing more nothing less.

Don't know why you're jumping on me for this, every one has an opinion, I have no problem at all with the tastes of gamers varying greatly from mine, that's sort of the point of successful consoles to cater to as many folks as possible.

I don't think Wii Music is that game, Wii Sports on the other hand? I'...

Implying I'm a fanboy sidar?

I say no because the first game was lame as hell, killed much of wii's momentum, and is an Utter waste of dev resources where they can focus on something much more appealing.

But hey go ahead and petition for a wii music sequel. You and the three other poor saps anticipating this game can have a ball with this non game ; )

I can't stand is this notion that Wii neglected the self proclaimed 'Core Gamer'

Wii was an amazing console, up until about 2011. In any case, Nintendo seems a bit amiss taking losses on hardware, and having a weak financial showing, Nintendo seems to be following Sony's example.

After breaking records with the Wii and DS, to have Nintendo abandon what bought them record breaking success seems very bone headed. Something will change.

Consoles alone aren't enough, its the appeal of software that will energize the console business.

The same, from me. I will add though, I want to know how they treat the Virtual Console also.

The idea of trickling releases is as outdated as trickle down economics.

Appealed to me just fine. Your narrow viewpoint of traditional gamer of casual gamers is just ridiculous. Wii obviously did something right as it was the dominant console this gen.
