Very doubtful. A slow CPU isn't indicative of anything. A Cpu can be clocked lower and still be superior than older cpu's clocked at higher speeds and be more effient.
Secondly Wii U's hardware is consisted of customized parts and people need to remain careful in making assumptions without knowing the facts of how Wii U's hardware works.

I remember even during the NES/SNES/Genesis days games just always got better as devs got more experience with the hardware, graphical fidelity improved, and this is true of the 360/PS3 as well. Doesn't Uncharted 3 look better than Uncharted 1? Doesn't Halo 4 look better than 3?

Believe that review scores from big gaming sites will become less and less relevant. For me personally they are already irrelevant. I feel these gaming sites are in bed with dev studios and are 'bribed' and panhandled in order to receive a good metacritic score.

Off there's no garauntee ps4 will be successful. Look at vita, it's floundering badly. Selling worse than the dreamcast. And it's the successor to a moderately successful hand held. PS3 is the least successful Sony console ever. Why would its successor magically become successful? Sony is in financial ruin too. Never bought a console at launch. I like to give the manufacture time to work out hardware kinks, as well as seeing software library becoming more fleshed out.

Console gaming has never been about horsepower. PC gaming was always the place to be if you are gaming for graphical fidelity. Even PS3/360 were nothing but Jr.PC's.
Software always trumps all. If Wii U releases the right software it will succeed. Same for the other console makers' products. Software sells systems not specs. Just look at the Vita and the 3DS...
