About the PS3 also, not a whole lot of compelling games for a much higher price tag. Or the 360 with a severe lack of variety and hardware issues. What I'm saying is to each is own.
Keep consumers interested in the PS3.

You hit it the nail on the head. I may sound like a broken record at this point, but just look at the DS' first two yrs and look at the Wii's. Parallels are damn near identical, it took a while but once the DS threw off the "fad" stigma 3rd parties came around in a big way and haven't stopped since. I think Wii is gonna get a similar response. Since it too shed the whole "fad" bs.

Wii hasn't received the big budget AAA 3rd party offereing yet. So until it does and it flops..like a Haze or Too human, then we can talk. But like you said games need a Million+ just to break even on many HD games.
The third party games that sell more on the Wii than any other console are ignored and the ones that don't are highlighted as proof of something that isn't true to begin with.

Product, it is funny isn't it? Ppl complain about Wii not having "core" games (whatever that means) Yet the ones that are coming they certainly do bash or ignore them. It makes me seriously wonder if these ppl (who complain about Nintendo not caring about the hardcore) don't even own the Wii. or as some admit they played it for 5 minutes lol
once Wii gets the AAA third party support what the argument against the system will be. Give it a rest, theres so much to look forward to with the Wii, its really changed the game. Just like analogue sticks, I gaurantee that motion controls will be implemented by every next gen console.
That's a problem and strictly an individualized perspective. If the statement is the 360 should win the console war, then why isn't it?
As far as CONSOLES are concerned, absolutely Wii is the best for FPS' Metroid Prime 3 pretty much proves it. Its beautiful and controls like a dream. Def one of my favorite games on this gen.
Instead of acknowledging the fact that Wii outsold both HD consoles (combined)for the umpteen month in a row. Its "look at Maddens Wii sales lol" Personally I think EA needs to stop gimping maddens Wii iterations, and I hope with WM+ they decide to really revamp the aging franchise. Someone mentions the Masterpiece that is Metroid Prime 3 Corruption. Its one of the most polished games Nintendo has EVER released. I can't believe people are still spouting the non sense of "Nintendo doesn't care about the hardcore"
On the money again my friend, I doubt M$ or Sony could survive as Nintendo did without third party support. The third parties are waking up and how could they not? Wii is approaching 50% market share and many of these companies that bet ...
I remember the short clip they showed at E3 06? Definitely caught my attention. I never thought the game was cancelled and am glad they have release dates in place for 2 out of the 3 major regions. Wonder when it'll be released in the states though.
I have to laugh at ppl who are always complaining about Wii screen shots. First off Screens never do the game justice. But in this instance even comparing it to 360's version, dead rising wasn't a graphically impressive game to begin with. If its fun and enjoyable I'll get it. If not I won't, simple as that.

"They can and will be replaced" Agree 100% with that statement. I'll add my own opinion that SE has really fallen off their game. FF12 was very weak compared to previous iterations. And they as well as many others invested heavily in the HD consoles and that bet has lead them to the red.
And whats PS3's big game for the holiday? LBP? a cutesy "casual" title. Its funny I think the console with the biggest identity crisis is the PS3 it doesn't know if it wants to target Wii's expanded audience or pigeonhole themselves like M$ did. There is no game the PS3 offers atm that makes is worth the price tag.
The idea Wii has no games is interesting to come from a Sony fanboy considering PS3 has fewer games than the Wii. Most good games are multiplatform anyway...
