Management fucked up. The devs did what they could. The game is great for the few for whom it actually works. My experience on PC has been pretty damn good. People on consoles (and many on pc) are not having the same experience as me. Its a bummer. It sucks. It is still just a game. I understand the disappointment, but damn, there wasn't this much outrage when Toyota knowingly put out hundreds of thousands of cars that had malfunctioning brakes that killed people.
Wow. You would think that this game being broken had a real impact on people's lives.
It runs (mostly) well for me, but im not deluded enough to say that this wasn't a total shit show. I love the game and wish everyone was having the same experience i am, but this is a bad look for CDPR. I feel absolutely terrible for the dev team. They worked their asses off to make something truly special, and it was all for nothing because of the higher ups who were more worried about the short term return on investment than they were about the long term ramifications to the future and ...
I'm enjoying it quite a bit. My game of the last few years. Its a buggy broken mess, but its MY buggy broken mess. It helps that I have a 2080 8g, 32bg ram. 4ghz i7, and an ssd. Part of the exclusive club that gets to truly enjoy a mostly stable experience, albeit buggy as I said above.
Agreed. The point is you get conned. Its good narrative. Night city is a grungy shithole. Im glad they included a mission that just screws you. Nobody is immune to the apathetic beast that is night city.
I am absolutely loving this game... this review seems over enthusiastic.
I'm going to stretch things a bit here, but you could say they didn't really LIE about last gen (I mean they did). But they said "runs surprisingly well" which could totally be corporate double speak. Maybe he thought it would run even worse than it actually did!!! Hahahahaha
Cdpr fucked up big time, but come on people. I see some comments on here from people who just a month ago were throwing a fit that they had the nerve to delay the game again and are now throwing a fit that they didn't delay the game again. There is plenty of blame to go around. CDPR should have been more transparent. Should have done a lot of things. Now they are eating a well deserved shit sandwhich. At the same time, this is their fourth full game. The first one that doesn't have Th...
They fucked up, but remember all the times fans threw a massive fit when the game was delayed? I would say the blame can be spread around pretty evenly. We all made this happen along side CDPR.
I would say this is more of a lesson about hype than anything. Once the train starts rolling, aint no stopping it. Cdpr should have been honest, should have delayed longer. But also, fans should have been more skeptical considering this is a company that only has 3 games under its belt (5 counting gwent spinoffs).
Go ahead, dislike away.
I'm one of the lucky ones who hasn't experienced any significant bugs. Markedly less than any given bethesda game studio title. It far surpassed my expectations. I also don't hype myself up too much anymore after skyrim and fallout 4. All that being said, I have several friends who are having a hell of a time trying to navigate all the performance issues. I hope it all gets ironed out and and everyone gets to have the experience I have been having. Fingers crossed because this g...
Love it. Buggy as hell from what I hear (not been any more buggy for me that any given elderscrolls/fallout). Should have been delayed again, but there would have been blood in the streets!
I agree. As I said above, my experience has been pretty damn stable and smooth, but a couple of my buddies are having a rough time. I have a 2080, they have 2080ti. Another friend is running it pretty well with a 980ti. Im wondering if there is a correlation. Are newer cards having more issues? Pc is such a non-standardized platform that it has to be hell to try and plan for and accommodate so many different hardware combinations.
I had ONE bug that got in the way last night. It wouldn't let me out of the detective vision(can't remember what they call it). Well, it let me out, but the color wouldn't go back to normal and I was stuck walking at a snails pace. Reloaded autosave, problem fixed. Some flickering shadows too, but thats whatever.
Still better than the review that bitched about the lack of pronouns.
I won't give this the click traffic so I don't know for sure, but I have to assume that its just no woke enough what with all the boobs and such.
Only 5 years behind schedule so far.
This is getting kind of rediculous. They don't have to ever release this game, because people keep giving them money anyway.
Well, bethesda can't make a functional game. I have completely lost all respect for their in house games. Plenty of talent there, im sure, but they insist on using an ancient Frankenstein of an engine that has absolutely no business still being in use. "This is the largest overhaul of our engine" is still not enough.
Huh... ok. I mean, love it or hate it, the setting is true to the genre. It is cyberpunk. Thats the point. HiTech-low life.
