I hope they go into it similar to to the Resi 2make. I don't mean I hope they make a ripoff, or similar game to the 2make. What I mean is 2make took an older game and modernized it while not compromising the the "spirit" of the original. Im hoping this remake can do the same. Recapture the tone and feel of the original while updating the package to modern standards.
Well, before switch razor put out a gaming tablet with controllers attached that played pc games.... so maybe switch owes much to razor and steam.

After 7 and 2make, I was really hoping for them to really return to the slow burn survival horror. 3make ok, but village is just too over the top. I have been getting 4, 5, and 6 vibes from it.
Japanese publishers have a habit of not patching out performance issues. Nier automata only got patched after they released a patched version on game pass but not steam. The resulting review bomb forced their hand. They would have never bothered otherwise. Thanks square.

This game is NOTHING like 2077 outside of the genre. And that one minor similarity actually makes Ascent closer to what 2077 is, than what it promised to be. I'm enjoying Ascent, and I enjoyed 2077 because I enjoy the genre. But... these journalists are constantly comparing apples to oranges and using obvious clickbait headlines to real people in.
