He was part of this last year too, guys. He also tweeted about MS' press conference being live on Spike this year, and I'm pretty sure he's involved in that as well. Geoff wouldn't be able to continue The Game Awards if he worked for Sony. Too much conflict of interest there.
@fei-hung
Sony isn't doing a Gamescom press conference this year. They are going to be at Paris games week though.
@Lord-Nicon
So you aren't going to be excited about anything coming out in 2016 then?
The video linked in the article you are commenting on has "PlayStation Console Exclusive" in the top corner for No Man's Sky." Yes, it is coming to PC, but it is coming out on PS4 first.
Bloodborne, like people wouldn't flip for a Bloodborne expansion if it was announced at E3?
But, KH3 was already announced.
@breakpad
What is it with people like you always trying to say Sony is going bankrupt? Pretty misinformed.
They have $130+ Billion in assets............

I think MS is setup to have the best show to be honest. Before I get flamed, I have a PS4 and no X1, but I'm hoping they do have a good show. Best case scenario all the games on x1 that I want also coming to PC. Not really interested in Halo so I think there is a good chance.
He didn't say people here said it was a game changer... He said MS advertised as such and hasn't been used to that effect in gaming, which is the problem. Most people only use the kinect for voice commands, if they use it. Is that worth $100?
@EDMIX
First of all... Never stated half the things you listed below. Never said Sony bought the IP for Bloodborne, said it was developed by a third party studio, which guess what? it is.
Never said Nintendo owned the Bayonetta IP.
Thanks for listing better examples for Nintendo but those aren't even this gen and none of those sold that well either...
A better example I didn't think of at the time for this gen would h...
Not the same. This was a 3rd party game that Sony Japan collaborated on (although Sony owns the IP). Nintendo games are 1st party games. The closest comparison I can think of for Nintendo is Bayonetta 2, which was critically successful but not sales wise. 0.67 Million units globally for a game of the year nominee is pretty poor.
The article already points this out.... Why does everything have to be ms vs Sony? It's the practice the author is discussing.
The article calls out the practice, including when Sony has done it. Stop being such a fanboy.
You said if there was innovation in the industry Nintendo did it, now you are saying sega was the first with online in consoles. Nintendos online infrastructure isn't even on par with microsoft and Sonys last gen. Not to mention how terrible the eshop is. If I bought a virtual console game on the wii, now I have to rebuy it on the Wii U? No thanks.
@darkstar18 Wait, what? Both Sony and MS did better than Nintendo last year.
They are really innovating in that online space.
I don't follow nor care about the Sims series.
Regarding Battlefront, game budgets are higher, detail in games is a lot higher and takes more time. Look at other series... take Final Fantasy 7/8/9/10. They haven't made a final fantasy to that scale since the PS1/2. SE has come out and said how ridiculous the cost and resources would be to rebuild 7 with the current detail in games. Play the game and then decide. I'd rather them get what they are doing right then t...
I just don't get why two generations after the originals and a completely different studio and published you expect the feature list to mirror the last one.
I found the story/world had a lot of potential but fell flat. Gameplay was okay.
Can we have a new last guardian when the old last guardian hasn't come out? :-)
Yeah, it's on their website as well. He and Jack both made a statement about it. Good luck to him.
Right, Mario is such a hardcore franchise.
