It'd be nice to at least have a release window.
@n4rc
Fair enough! This is getting ridiculous with all those posts getting hidden.
@genuinegamer
Well he isn't wrong. Rimeskeem said he wasn't interested in it because it was an RTS on a console and I happily pointed out that it was also on PC with no negativity about that because I think it's great. More people disagree than agree.
@n4rc Who downplayed anything though? Just stating an additional way to play the game.
@grumpygamr I don't disagree with you there. However keep in mind Sonys Gamescom lineup has usually been about smaller titles or more niche titles. Europe responds better to that, and I also always really enjoy seeing those titles.
MS was able to show some big AAA titles off, I feel like this was one of the biggest Gamescom conferences in the history of Gamescom. MS had to announce a head of time a lot that would be there though, so it didn't look like the titles wer...
But the RTS is also on PC ;-)
I really like that MS and Sony are having their conferences at different shows. A lot more focus for the X1 and we can evaluate the show on its own merits instead of comparing conferences.
I really liked the show as well. I would have liked to have seen some more crackdown than what we did see, and I was disappointed the DVR was only for OTA TV, but other than that it was good.
When he says "cut" he moreso means absent, because it was something in the previous games. He whines about it every Star Wars Battlefront article.
@Gears
I like how you are trying to tell people to do the math when you are saying it sold 150 million in 5 and a half years when it actually sold that in about 12 years.
True no Sony PC at gamescom but Sony also has PSX TGS and PGW. That's two more conferences than MS this in the same time period. That's not counting this chinajoy which I doubt will have much.
They both aren't great....

@d0x360 if you think MS does maintenance on a production system without a maintenance window you are crazy. That being said... I'm not saying it was an attack.
@wow yeah bc the author could have predicted the length of downtime
Sorry boys. I get burnt out on annual franchises ;) I still love you tho
You said assassins creed and I instantly disagreed.
PS fanboys cants accept it needs to be better? Then why is there a Twitter campaign and a dedicated website for PS fans asking for a better PSN? Come on now.
Sony spent less than 2 minutes on TV/Morpheus.... And the TV service is a first of its kind.
I'm going to stay away from touching on any of your opinions here.
"Sony basically showed EVERYTHING that Sony has in their future."
So I guess Sony Bend, Sony London, Sony Santa Monica, Quantic Dream, Sucker Punch, etc just don't count. Not to mention the unannounced PS4 exclusive RPG from Level 5 doesn't count either. And Naug...
@irish Not sure if you are trying to be a PC elitist right now or not but if so get over yourself. PC + console is the way to go and has been. My point was, I don't see the point of spending $400 on a console for games my PC is going to be able to play.
@Rookie
Except Ferguson hinted at Gears 4 coming to PC as well already, Phil stated that Halo has a long history of being on the PC.
But other than hints, they stated there would be more news about additional titles coming to PC before and at Gamescom.
Also like I said, X1 still only has two titles not available anywhere else.
PS4 has Infamous, Killzone, Knack, The Order, Bloodborne, and Driveclub.
How many of the Xbox games are going to end up on PC though? So far only forza 5 and SSO are the ones that haven't. With windows 10 releasing later this month more and more games are going to be on PC as well.
.....
Look, I'm excited for Crackdown, but I'm not going to pretend like what they showed is amazing. They showed some over the shoulder gameplay and basically a tech demo of a bunch of buildings crumbling. Everything they said about the game sounds super promising, but let's wait until we see more before we go all "Power of the cloud" again.
