I want to get a vita just to play Persona 4 Golden and FFX remastered... I haven't really looked into other games on it.

"Now when both services are up and running, there's virtually no difference between the two other than MS proactively dealing with potential issues...."
And PS+ being far and away the better value with their instant games collection.
Sony is adding a large amount of servers through their purchase of Openstack, that is pretty proactive in my eyes. Plus, Sony has a much higher traffic to handle with huge amounts of new players each month...
The servers are owned by Bungie.. If PSN does have trouble it is due to higher player count.
Maybe it will take it down for a while due to high traffic... Not really new or a big deal, and not an exclusive problem to the PSN.
PS4 owners care, it's a good incentive. Plus there are a ton of players on the PSN due PS4's popularity, so full lobbies.
Really? Bring up all that?
Was the Nanking Massacre cowardly as well?

I am an American and I prefer Sony, but it is purely based on liking their products. And I think the Japanese and other countries feel the same way about American products or products from any country, if they like it they buy it, such as the iphone.
It's...
I don't know about killzone, I haven't tried it, but the lobbies for most games are generally full. Not hard to find other players for sure.

OK another comparison.
Destiny beta was on both systems, took one down for hours (xbl) and was ok on the other (PSN)
Plus PSN had FAR more players playing it, to me that says more stable.
"The free version is still more stable than the paid version which really says alot."
Yes it does say a lot, it says this is likely just a bug and technical issue.
Both XBL and PSN were attacked by hacker...
It's funny how nobody complained like this with the Destiny beta causing hours of outages on XB1, it didn't even have much of a problem on PSN.
But PSN goes down and it is garbage, and XBL is seamless, and Sony needs to invest!! funny.
Sony is investing actually, openstack. And XBL only has to handle 5 mil people, PSN has to handle 10 million, with huge growth monthly, that means you can actually find people online to play with also...
Yeah, sucks that 10 million people can crash a game...
Sony has so many problems right now, they have a system people actually want! poor them. /s
I am guessing Microsoft will purchase exclusive rights to a major 3rd party JRPG or something from some big developer in Japan...
That is the only way I can see them drawing interest.
I am surprised they don't tap into the market using Kinect... They could make all kinds of games targeted at the Japanese audience, and cool new tech is always a hit there.
I suppose if people actually bought an XB1, they may have games go down too due to traffic (besides Destiny beta)...
Edit Below:
It's obviously just technical issues they are sorting out on the PS4 version.
Sony is doing all kinds of things to beef up the network, including purchasing openstack. I don't think Sony knew it would sell over tenmillion units this fast. I agree they need more data centers to meet the demand.
I think PSN is actually a great service, PS+ games alone make it worth it. I do think they should build m data centers though so random outages wont occur as much.
When their system sells over 10 million this fast, they gotta up the network structure to support it, and I think that is what they are doing with openstack.
People pay for Xbox live and the Destiny beta cause it to go down... should Microsoft fix theirs as well?
Keep in mind, a lot more people own and play on a PS4...
Edit:
The documented cases of PSN services being down are not much more than XBL's, I can't speak on your case because that's not documented. But legit PSN and XBL outages are not that different in occurrence, this year at least.
And like I said, PS4 ...
Being an American company makes no difference, they buy the iphone in droves there...

7 million and still selling decent on ps3 plus over 1 million on PS4 remaster version so far with good continued sales..
So over 8 million and still going strong.
@hkgamer
Sony absolutely has "cult" following for games in japan, cult following by defin...
Last gen Playstation didn't have hit franchises like those, but you could still argue that the Last of Us and Uncharted were better games, which people take notice of.
Halo and Gears are not the hot franchises they were last gen, and people are seeing that PS3 had higher quality games, even though they weren't marketed and hyped to death. Plus the Last of Us is on it's way to selling over ten million units, so sales wise it could very well be more popular that ei...
I actually feel it could get above 8/10 average on meta...
That's a cool idea, I will have to check out Xperia. I must admit I don't know anything about their phones or touch pads.
Buy Microsoft's fragrance, it will have you smelling like a salt mine.

Microsoft DID have exclusive advertising for COD and has a similar deal that Sony has for the upcoming COD. But it wasn't just for COD, Fifa also, they had a bundle and advertising rights https://www.youtube.com/wat... and notice that Sony didn't get all butt hurt over it or call foul.
