Can current 3DS games be played on the new 3ds redesign?
No MAG is not still up, and Sony has plenty of money AND servers, they are increasing their servers with purchase of gaikai for cloud and Openstack space for more dedicated servers, not to mention all the servers they had already.
Planetside 2 is even bigger than MAG... Coming to PS4.
I still maintain my argument, show me a game of platside 2's or MAG's size running on Xbox as smoothly.
If the game was HUGE, like MAG or Planetside 2 then I could see adding another pool of players from another system would be good, to keep the player count up.
I think it is logical to combine a pool of PS4/PC players for some games, but I don't think the low-ish player count the X1 would provide is needed on PS4.
-Sony already has great servers as proven through MAG and other massive multiplayer games on the PS3 using dedicated servers. Plus they are gearing up for even more on the PS4 with Openstack. Tell me one game that plays better than MAG on the Xbox and has that many players at one time...

I thought MANY were anyways... this seems like a great idea. Not every game needs to have the feature, but it would be cool if some did.
Then Sony could still implement dedicated servers through Openstack/current servers like planned, and Micro could use dedicated servers on Azure for all the games that don't have the cross system play.
So you are defending last gens ridiculous amount of comparisons and Xbox fanboy obnoxious diatribes and gloating over multiplats because of Sony talking up their SPU's "potential" power? Obviously Sony could have worded what they said differently and maybe they should have.
Microsoft has made MANY ridiculous power claims, the difference is, Sony talked up actual hardware last gen, Micro talks up software to increase power this gen, which is more annoying?

When digital Foundry, the industry leader in game analyzing and comparisons says "The result is a release that looks impressive on both consoles, with the PS4 occupying the higher ground" that is a pretty good indication that the PS4 version has better visuals, albeit not a huge difference between the two.
resolution does not = image quality, I have never heard anyone say that. It does however contribute to overall image quality. No need to call people jer...

That list is insane, PS4 dominating in all categories with games (AAA retail, digital, PS+ vs gold, highest rated)... And people STILL bring up the games argument against it.

digital foundry shows truth in visuals... these guys give straws to grasp to. I do like the rumble trigger idea though, that is cool.
It also looks better on X1 than the wiiu.
I liked Halo, but I am very excited to try Bungie's new stuff for sure.
XBL has had it's fair share of downtime this year as well... Not sure what you are getting at here. The only advantage of XBL is that it has features go down slightly less often?
I could see the rumble triggers being an advantage for the X1, I like cool features like that, just like I liked the sound effects and lighting on the PS4 controller for tomb raider.

I guess someone should have told that to Diablo 3... We have no idea how similar they are technically speaking, digital foundry will let us know fps, res, lighting. Who knows which version is "superior".
It is true that PS4 has better hardware on paper, but what does that even matter with all the secret sauce X1 has? /s
I guess having the superior version does matter after all though to both fan bases, good to know.
People should just wait for digital foundry and stop giving these guys hits...
I would be stunned if the PS4 didn't show sun and lens flare. This looks like different times of day by the looks of the stadium shadow and lighter shadows. Digital foundry will look at all of it in depth I am sure.
Man, that sucks. I just finished Chrono trigger/cross on the psp. Holy damn amazing.
