They do. It's just that they don't like PS4 and re-re-releases. The original Final Fantasy X|X-2 HD Remaster sold over 500,000 units in Japan across PS3 and Vita.

These games have 0 released media or haven't been heard from in years.
Hard to take this article seriously when it opens with this:
"We wouldn't be able to play dozens of great Japanese games in English without its localization crew. This ranges from the internally developed Shin Megami Tensei/Persona games to side projects from other developers that it chooses to bring over such as the soon-to-be-released Attack on Titan: Humanity in Chains. Atlus is a great company."
It implies that Attack on Titan is one of thos...
Weeks like this must make for weird times at SCEJA. They've basically abandoned Vita, but there it is, providing the only software spot SCE's platforms have; outselling PS4.
I imagine you're way off. The bundle is tracked in these figures, firstly, and we get monthly digital sales from Famitsu. The average on PlayStation platforms is usually around 10% of a game's retail sales. For Nintendo hardware, it's even worse.
When did all of those Resident Evil games go PS-exclusive? What about Dead Rising?
Timely.
"3DS dominates portables" implies Capcom released software on any non-3DS, non-phone (which isn't counted in this chart) handheld. The only Vita game they released in fiscal 2014 was a Japan-only port of a seven year old Monster Hunter subscription MMO that no one likes. The client is free to download too, so there isn't much of a reason to buy the physical release. In a situation like this, 3DS didn't dominate Vita, there was nothing to dominate. It's like being the...
PS2 used to do 50k in a bad week.
3DS is tracking lower than DS.
PS Vita is tracking lower than PSP.
Wii U is tracking lower than Wii.
PS4 is tracking lower than PS3.
Xbox One is tracking lower than Xbox 360.
But yeah, Japan's dedicated games industry is just doing super!
Retailers order copies to perceived demand. If many stores only had a few copies for PS4, that means they didn't expect it to sell well.
They've fixed it now. You can download all of the games on Vita through the Download List.
Why? People complain that PS4 gets indie games all the time; that it doesn't push the hardware. You know what'll push the hardware even less? A game that consists of barely moving images and text.
It wouldn't sell in Japan and probably wouldn't sell in the west. I remember people port begging Toukiden for PS4, and what happened? It flopped in the west and flopped in Japan.
For RPGs in Japan most of their sales come from those first few days, so ...
Apple is a company that stumbled upon a gaming goldmine in the app store. They're not interested in running a video games business and their actions are evidence of that.
"Because like john stated above, its not up to Sony its up to the developer if the Game will get the porting process."
9/10 times it's actually on Sony. There have been developers who pre-release said their games should be PSTV compatible, but come release they aren't because Sony didn't mark it as such.
"Uncharted GA: for instance was built for the PSVita, Not for the PSTv, there is no camera, there is no touch pad that comes with ...
Honestly, indie developers are the only ones I'd have faith in for VR. AAA console developers aren't going to care about designing experiences tailored around it. They want a mass market audience, and there's no guarantee VR will get that.
I don't have much faith in Project Morpheus, however. Sony has a horrendous track record when it comes to supporting non-pillar initiatives. Remember Eyetoy, PlayStation Camera, PlayStation Move, 3D, Wonderbook, PlayStation ...
I will link to this Kickstarter whenever someone says Vita killed Studio Liverpool and WipEout.
Instead of burning money on this, Sony should burn money on a new slate of cool looking Vita games. At least then they'd get positive cred.
From the article: "The list does look pretty believable with the exception of Shovel Knight."
Not really? Why would Rayman Legends support cross-buy on PS+ when it regularly doesn't? Even worse, it's just listed for PS3 and PS4. The game didn't launch simultaneously on those platforms. It did launch simultaneously on PS3 and Vita, whose version is missing for no explainable reason. Sony wouldn't do such a fragmented system. For this game, it would be...
clearly they're referring to psp3
