i see the point of the x. ms figures that they can't beat anyone in terms of exclusives, so they want to beat the PS in terms of 3rd party non-exclusives.

what i can't get is their strategy on the whole thing. the problem is this:
1) 4k buy in is still relatively low. no doubt 4k ownership will increase a couple of years down thr road. but by then proper next gen will be upon us.

2) so assuming that next gen is supposed arrive for PS arou...

well wouldn't say it's doomed, it will be down to expectation. it will appeal to a certain market segments (ie xfanboy), ms probably knows that. if ms is expecting it to be all market conquering then they are out of their minds.

yes. if you looked at the articles just on N4G the last few months were flooded with articles on how great that slightly better graphics is supposed to be.

i mean better graphics is great, don't get me wrong. but are you telling me you're going to play through all the games in your library just to 'experience ' that slightly better graphics? As if a bit more dirt on lara Croft's face is going to add that much into the enjoyment of the game.

last 3 months saw until dawn, Infamous, MGSV... it was always difficult to follow up from that. but still hoping for a bigger name.

yes i believe you are right.
from what i can tell gamers in China are well used to microtransactions, and many gamers are willing to fork out.

console gamers are very much in the minority. of course China banning consoles doesn't help, they just lifted the ban a couple years back, but there are still too much regulation, games that are available for ps4 n xbo are really limited, shocking if you checkout the China PSN store

objectively speaking the ps4's got both quantity and quality.
subjectively... let's just say when the forest is large there's all types of birds

even better... and i was there thinking how sony could top 2017... but looking at the lineup, i must say it does look even more awesome!

another way would be:

ps4 + Xbo S = $390
xbo x = $500

slightly better graphics or triple the library... for most people the decision isn't hard at all

this is what i was afraid of... when they said the fall of sp games, this was what came to mind. which was why people found those xfans so annoying, blindly supporting your platform will always lead to disaster. then people in sony will go like 'if they could do it in ms n EA... '

should do more playstation 4 exclusives Xbox only gamers want the most, except it should be 50 ps4 exclusives, just the paris game show has more than 5 :p

looks really really great... while super hyped i am a bit disappointed, was hoping the game has a collection of spidey villians to battle (like arkham). doesn't seem to be the case from the trailer.
still super hyped though

now this is a good thing to have. it's great to be able to give games to friends. it's also considerate of ms to allow regiving if someone already have the game, bravo!

i mean already got the biggest names for superheroes n supervillians in the DC universe.
at this point you're not going to blow my mind unless you add hulk, thor, siderman etc (marvel heroes).
alternatively street fighter, dragonball, naruto etc characters would do the trick as well

yup i also suspect a $50 price drop for ps4 n pro would make the pro a more attractive prospect.
Xbox x price difference would likely not change the minds of hardcore xfans. average gamers is a different story

you're bias for a particular brand, it's you're business. coming up with hypocritical excuses is just annoying

for me it looks like witcher + modern day zombie apocalypse with a variety of cool game machanics.
all those comparison with tomb raider, BOTW, last of us is weird... zombie apocalypse not equal to last of us... day night weather cycle could just as likely be forza or drive club... shooting machinics therefore tomb raider? come on...

yeah. even if there are some awkward motion controls and the game being easy... it got to be more than 7.5...
understand that Nintendo games are more geared towards the younger demography, so being easier shouldn't be view that negatively.
