why would they hire some young talent when they could hire entire studios, buy entire studios.
what speak volumes is the fact that they won't (not as often as you'd think) and when they do they buy minecraft. which is great... but i imagine most gamers would have spent the money a bit differently
variety is always great, xbo especially needs more variety.
but having said that most of xbo fans are FPS bro shooter fans, not sure they will appreciate games with actual stories
you got that right. no one forced ms to focus on sport n tv, no one forced them to make such a joke of an exclusive line up this year.
imo from year 2 onwards the ps4 exclusive line up was better than xbo exclusive line up. but even last year, it was still debate about it... this year the xbo fanboys that continue to insist xbo exclusives line up even vaguely comparable to ps4 n switch (looking at you moldy) are just down right delusional.
how ms thought this line up was exc...
ranking consoles i owned right?
1. ps4 pro
2. ps3 slim
3. ps2 OG
4. Xbox 360 slim
5. dreamcast
6. Wii
7. saturn
8. Super famicom
9. PS OG
10. Megadrive
11. Atari
12. snes
13. PC engine
what?!?! the xbo game lineup this year is without VR distraction? that's just sad.
or maybe xbo x is THE distraction. does this mean developers are busy making upgrades patches for improving graphics for old games rather than making new?
i think xbo's exclusive situation right now might be proving this point
man... one of my favourite games on my snes. hope it will be able to stand the test of time
i know what you mean, but i don't think you're quite right there.
i think they're going with style over substance. all hype little delivery.
most power console. then releases exclusives like cuphead, crackdown3, sea of thieves, best graphics ever says absolutely no one (non fanboys).
i think hoodwink is their plan, and they're deliverying it
yeah. forza development is very good, good production values, development cycle is short as well. GT takes a bit too long imo.
but then each version of GT has significant improvements and changes. GT sport is gonna be interesting with real world applications for F1 license, how cool is that?
while fun looking, i think it's not perfect
i believe the following factors
1) old timey graphics is eye catching
2) hyped up to 11 by ms
3) good and tight development to back up the hype (bravo, from an indie as well)
4) utter lack of exclusives coming out on xbo this year (forza looks great, but there's one (horizon i know) every year) therefore everyone is focusing on it and hyping it even further.
5) as a result used by fanboys...
downloaded it last night... will be checking it out later
@moldybread
'Does Sony pay you to continually go on the attack of their main competitor any time someone says anything bad or soemthing you don't agree with about your platform? '
looks like you think he has the same job as you :p
yes. i think GT will get the most sales, but review scores is a different matter.
Forza is going for with a more traditional approach for the game, GT is going in a completely different direction. not sure how that will be received, but i find getting an actual F1 license to be intriguing
i mostly game on consoles, tried fortnite BR yesterday. it was pretty tight.
but i don't think it's not that people can't afford PUBG, some people (like me :p) are just stingy wanna wait for deals, some don't game on pc (like me :D), some not big into FPS (like me)
it's free right? so why not just give it a go.
also would not have been aware of this game if it wasn't for blueholes complaining the last couple of weeks.
are the games that similar?
i guess the jumping out of the plane part?
the rest of the game is basically a MP free for all, elements based on battle royale (movie) hunger games sort of concept.
while cuphead looks funfun
i think the key to the games success is having almost no good exclusives coming out for a whole calendar year (other thanthe excellent Forza) helps. if it came out on ps4 or switch it would be one among many great games
yeah. should allow developers to experiment and try out new stuff.
Gen 6 was Japanese game development at it's peak, with western developers also doing great. basically raining games back then. and variety was great.
Gen 7 Japanese game development fell far, while western developers continue to improve.
although currently Japanese developers seem to be experiencing some kind of renaissance, but still far from the lofty Heights of gen 6 and 7. western developers continue to improve. hopefully things will continue to improve
yeah fanboys work on seperate logic.
difficult for them to be objective
i didn't even know they had this... only played the original, wouldn't mind giving this a go :)
the production values for Forza7 is extremely good.
but ultimately it's not that great a leap
while each GT installments shows a significant leap in quality and graphics, forza good as it is the leap forward is minor.
fatigue is also definitely a factor from the last forza just 2 years ago, just a year if you factor in horizon (i know totally different games).
a lot of people would be like: 'forza AGAIN? didn't we just have a forza l...
