It's always weird hearing console fanboys go on about piracy, but more than likely have bought a used game once in their life. There's a reason for that. Originally Redemption was meant to come out for PS2 and Xbox, but Rockstar held off and revamped the source code several times throughout it's development. The reason they didn't port it to PC is because they would have had to rework the entire code as it was never developed with PC architecture in mind.
