If the games are there, people will buy it. The iPhone/iPod Touch is a (phone), music playing device, gadget or gizmo before it is a portable games console.
I've no doubt Apple will take the gaming thing a step further with their next platform, but for now, no Sony are right on cue.
Good marketing, a solid software lineup, and a solid reattempt at the PSP hardware with a good price attached will do the PSP the world of good.
I know you're just messing around here but, I think much of Heavy Rain's appeal is that it's going to be creepy without the "supernatural".
I think it is an original name because it's not trying to be original. If you get me.
How does it look so good?
Alas - 4D is a bit of marketing. However I agree, to release commercial and the demo to prove it's in game, is pretty awesome.
What's your point?
Yeah I love mine too. They could really reignite interest with a new model, a ton of new games, a marketing push and things like trophies.
Urgh. I was excited for a few seconds.
That makes sense but is really sad on those of us who actually buy our games. :(
Yeah it's very unusual for no trophy support. It's getting scarce now though. I mean, pretty much everything has trophies these days.
Does it matter whether you think the game flopper or not? Even if you don't like the game, it's a good fan made video/song.
... and how infantile that would once again make our respective governments look.
Honestly, I'm convinced kids off a playground could run the country better, if not as good, as the current "leaders" we all have.
Totally. Much as I like the bullet trailer they put out -- I just feel like something in this theme is so much more eye catching.
It is definitely the type of game that lends itself to that "just one more go" mentality.
By the same margin though, it's the type of game you could just sit down and play for 10-15 minutes while you wait to go out, etc.
<3 Stoya.
Did you even read the review?
The game is nowhere near this bad at all.
There is a reason: to support the devs. This article is scary.
You're right and you're wrong. GDC is not reserved for big announcements at all, so in that area you're right. However, those giving keynotes sometimes like to use their upcoming titles as a platform to further their discussion.
The best example being in 2007 when Phil Harrison talked about "Game 3.0" he subsequently went on to reveal LittleBigPlanet and Playstation Home.
So yes, it's wrong to get "over excited" and hype - but it's always fun to r...
It's that and the price. The price is high and people believe they are getting the same experience on XBOX 360 -- which more educated consumers know there are "hidden" costs on the XBOX. Less educated consumers don't really care about "exclusives" in my opinion - they just want a system to play Fifa and CoD -- and XBOX can do that at the lowest price.
Sony need to communicate their strengths better.
